We totally redesigned the inner side of it and removed material under where the cv joint goes.
They pretty much look the same on the outside but under the cv joint area they are really tricked out. Lots of material still there in the important places.
The new design removed about 2 pounds out of the entire assembly (both sides). I might even do a little more weight reduction in another area, a little here and a little there really adds up.
Were also going to start making a light weight cv joint that we've been developing. That will shave even more weight out of the axle assemblies.
Send me your old ones and I'll swap them out for you.

Now this is what you call EXCELLENT customer service. Chris is a pleasure to work with and is very knowledgeable in what he does and gives me that much more confidence in the parts since he creates these pieces himself. And yes, my car was putting down right at 1000hp before with the old setup and cracked off a 10.05 but the new setup will produce even better and bigger numbers with capability to be one of the fastest 6 speeds out there.
Thanks Chris, I will get the those out to you to swap for me.

We offer the Gforce components. We just did a 750 hp n/a combination for a holden vehicle in the UK. Upgraded the drivetrain as best we could. Chris was great to work with

I was the one who got the blue powdercoated axles. They do look absolutely awesome. I'll try and get a better picture, but here you go:

You will be getting some of our new design outer stubs, we removed almost a pound of material out of them compared to the old design.

Thanks
Chris

Jannetty Racing Chooses DSS

I am sure G-Force are a Fine Product, but I have a Long Standing relationship with The Driveshaft Shop, they Make some Pretty Killer Parts for us, They're Customer Service, Friendly Advice, and Commitment to Excellence is Something that is RARE in this High performance World I live and work in.

I put DSS in my Own Cars for a Reason, Quality Quality Quality.

This gives me Confidence that when I sell DSS Parts I don't have to worry about Comebacks.

Jannetty Racing Proudly uses and Sells DSS.

Ted.

Jason, with our bolt together inner axle stubs, you could easily up-grade to our big 35 spline stubs and spool.
Just something to think about

Since from what I read, y'all seem to be making the Hendrix axles, if for some reason I bust one of my Hendrix axles, does the same warranty apply to my axles?

To put it plainly yes and if its one of the sets that has the larger and smaller bars we will upgrade it to the new 30 spline standard axle on both sides. As a matter of fact if you have the thick and thin bar set you can send them in at anytime to be upgraded at no cost to you. Just call Hendrix and get an RMA, just so you know buying from Thomas is like having you own personal rep. He stays on top of everything he sells and is available almost all the time. It sounds like your running some decent power so you might want to check,We supply allot of axles and its become clear that the big and little although a good idea is not strong enough for a Real High Performance car,all its doing is giving you one strong bar and one weak bar (were thinking of sending a set of the new and old style axles to our destructive lab so we can actually show you in a graph the real difference in numbers). for you guys under 600Hp the lower level axles we make with the large and small bar would be fine seems the magic number is about 600Hp depending on driver and trans. Have you done anything to the rear sub frame to control wheel Hop ? some one had a video of how the sub frame moves around during a hard launch, its pretty scary. Warrantees are great but its even better not having to use them....

Here are a couple pix of the quality on the axle internals. From Hendrix or any of our distributors its the same professional quality. In fact being we dont discount our product directly buying from our distributors may be a better way to save some holiday cash.......

We can also lighten the CV's if needed but it does take from the strength

check out the radius we have on our cages, you made the right choice

This is a picture of the 300m race, notice the ours on the left has a larger spline than a factory 108mm CV

Cool, I still have my stock axles, I've got the big & littles, think I've had them since aug of last year, maybe Sep. I'll contact Hendrix and see what we can do. I'm not going to be at this HP level forever, I'm just trying to get the most I can out of a fully stock internal (cam only) motor, but I will eventually either scatter the motor, or get to the point where I've pushed it to it's fullest potential. So my next setup should be in the 4 digit range easily. I'm overseas right now, and when I get in, I've got some grudge races against some 2011 GT's & modded 5th gens to do, then before I leave the country again, I can just swap back to the stock axles, and send the big & littles back in. I'm only picking on 5th gens & 11 GT's with the 5th gen right now as I have other cars as you can tell from my sig that are much more capable of handling other cars in grudge races, and brackets.

Quick non 5th gen question? I'm building an LS1 powered 1000+ HP X-275 Fox body, do you make drive shafts that go from a TH-400 to a ford flanged rear end, or would it be better to get a 1350 swap U-joint setup/pinion setup, and do you make those? I don't have the dimensions of the shaft I need with me, but will be setting the pinion angle when I get home, and measuring for a DS, so I will be getting in touch with you on that.

As far as wheel hop goes, I have all poly bushings, and all the BMR trailing arms & torsion bars.

Really appreciate the information.
