You mean Al Gore the Great Scientist. Global Warming is
and the government is the one who has run GM and other car companies into the ground with their overregulations. Some one in Washington needs to grow a pair and let them drill for our oil.

Nothing to fear.......your Camaro is NOT, I repeat, NOT a gas guzzler. She will NOT find a gas guzzler tax on your invoice. The L99 is one of the most fuel efficent V8's on the market, AND magically transforms into a fuel sipping 4 cylinder when in cruise mode.

To broaden my horizons on what people call the "green" movement.

She did point out a Prius. I pointed out how ugly it was.

Yes. And no. No women on the car unless directly on top of the hood, oiled.

Actually, a V6 Ford Escape that she got in high school.

She's very straight-up. We talked about a lot more personal things than cars, no matter how difficult it is to discern the two.

Exhaust is louder than brainwashing.

If it were discounted 95%, I could probably afford the Vette. Until I had to buy insurance.

if we have to talk about a vegetarian:

let's see what it takes to get a red blooded meat eater to go out with a vegetarian.

I WOULD, but I prefer to keep my morally wrong deeds away from the public eye.

Some of you crack me up. Meat eater . . .

Seriously though, it's nice that you can have a reasonable, thought provoking conversation with someone with opposing views. Too many econuts out there who don't listen to you unless you are greener (in their mind) than they are. Super efficient cars powered by the infernal combustion engine are not the answer. Develop alternative fuels that are environmentally neutral and investing in better mass transit is the only real way to reduce the emissions from cars.

Oh and the environmental argument for being a vegitarian is that growing crops to feed animals is very wasteful, and livestock represent a surprising amount of greenhouse gas emissions (methane) relative to their numbers

If I'd been asked why I need/want excess of something I'd have quickly turned it around on the person.

You don't have a plasma or lcd do you? Because a CRT is fine. HD? Why would you want crystal clear picture when a normal picture is perfectly acceptable.

House? Make sure you don't get anymore than you absolutely need. That 2 bedroom bungalow is plenty for a couple with 1 child so make sure you don't spend a little more on that 3 or 4 bedroom...

Wii, PS3, XBox360? Why? Super Nintendo was one of the best consoles ever! (Ok, so SNES really was one of the best, but you get the point.)

Besides, anyone who doesn't eat meat is crazy! Gimme my steak!

Because I want to drive a car, not a lunchbox.
