The Z in the size signifies a maximum speed capability in excess of 149 mph, 240 km/h. The Y indicates a max speed of 186 MPH.

like he said above, they are Z rated. im assuming the speed was set to 155 to fit in with europe in hopes of a high number of exported units lol. (BMWs, benz, etc etc all 155)

Fastest speed at the 1/4 mile so far is 105 mph and that was still in 3rd gear, so yeah I think 145 is do-able in 4th gear

Nope. I hit fourth a good second and a half before the end when running a 5900 shift tune. I have a tune that shifts at 6200 and am only seeing 101mph in 3rd. Even the M6's that I've seen are in fourth before the end. Maybe thats why my trap speeds are higher. I would have to hold the shift in third to the 6600 rev in order to see 105. Are you tuned, if so what are your shift points? What density altitude are you running at?

is this for real? ... I thought for sure these were Z rated tires. This has come up in a bunch of threads and I have never heard anyone say that these are actually "Y" rated tires......... but your link sure does say that they are in fact "Y" tires.

dont worry it will take alot to get camaro to 186 anywhere..
right now prob does standing mile at 160
