IMO the BB hood comes further forward with a more straight surface across the top. Also the opening is flatter where the MPD1 "Z Force" has the same "V" as the front profile of the Camaro.

I agree. I begins its taper forward sooner than the BB hood. The side profile is different. Actually only 1 inch higher back by the windshield. But a very different approach to a similar design.

It does look more pronounced than the BB hood. i thought it was raised a little but the more i look at it, maybe not at all.

I just picked up my car from the body shop. They installed the MPD hood. I love it! Not an exact match for bumblebee, but best combination of similar design, true cold air scoop, and high quality product. Body shop went on and on about how much work they might have to do on the hood, since aftermarket hoods aren't as good and aligned as the original.

Then they installed it. "went on with no problems" was their answer when I asked if there was any extra work done. Awesome hood and awesome quality!

Can't say enough about this hood. The heat extractors on the back are functional and look professional. I'll buy again in a heartbeat!

Question

Let us get back to the real topic here.... BB Replica Hood! Could someone please tell me why exactly that this hood has not been replicated and sold to the masses? We all know if someone could produce an exact match of the hood it would sale like crazy!!! I can't even recall how many times a thread has been started asking the same exact question! Is the original designer that selfish? If anything the designer should take it as a compliment that so many others desperate to look just like it!

Usually the guys who make those concept-show cars are contractually obligated not to reproduce them so production tooling is never made. I am sure it would sell. MPD1's goal with the "Z Force was to make something a little more aggressive looking. I personally thought the hood was a little flat looking.
