Ah gotcha, I'm tired.

- just to contribute something to the thread before I leave... I agree with the others, a gear indicator is useless.

WAIT A MIN,

they have diff shift patterns for a V6????? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK thats odd.

My Geo metro had the same shift pattern & it was only a 3cyl with a 5 speed manual lol I think the only diff is where the reverse was at lol

I agree with the OP, all of us know what gear we're in, but it would be cool to have the number on the bottom of the DIC saying so too, just a cool factor

Will come with the 2012 model. It will also include the lady from Onstar instructing you exactly when to shift. That will be included with the standard onstar with a fee of course.

No worries man, I wondered the same thing before.
I know a member here is cracking the BCM, maybe he can do something like this if the DIC has the feature. The stuff hes unlocked is unreal!

I never said that I want to have a gear indicator because I forget or don't know what gear I am in. I simply just think its a cool feature to have just the same as if somebody was to install a raptor shift light.
Do we need a shift light because we dont know when to shift? NO.

I just wanted to know if there was a way to have a gear indicator like on the auto camaros maybe with a simple reflashing or simple wiring, instead of our manuals just having a blank area on the info screen.

Not a big deal, if not oh well. Whats the deal with bunch of panties up some peoples arse
