The first time I was driving my dad's '81 Vette back from the dealership where it was for service, I got the tail out. Didn't mean to do it either. It had some bald, crap tires on it (who ever heard of Turbostar??) and I hit a slick patch right after it rained when I was going around a corner. I was barely even on the gas, I'm by no means a crazy driver (on public roads) but I broke the tail end loose quite a good amount. Put it nearly sideways and recovered. I remember when I got home (my dad was driving in front of me) my plan was to get out and run upstairs before my dad could kill me. Instead, when he got out he yelled down the driveway how cool that was and what a great recovery it was

I did something like that in my bronco way back when. Was raining and I was having fun being a bad ass and spinning the tires in the water (only in the rain). I got the rear end out and held it through a 4 lane each way main street in town. Got several cheers out windows (It was like 10PM at night). I was thinking I was gonna spin out and hit some cars parked along the side. Heart was pounding, and my fear immediately turned to pride when I heard people yelling things along the line of "AWESOME!" "Sweet!" and the occasional "STUPID KID!"

I don't know that there has been ANY evidence that GM will pop out a special Hi-Po Camaro anytime soon. I mean, I know we all expect it, but...They haven't even uttered the words Z28, or SS. Execpt to say IF we produce them - followed by some scripted distractor answer. |

^Yeah...it sucks. I wish they'd say Z28, SS, something.
and sorry...I was kind of replying to two people there. Was just trying to be inquisitive. |

As far as I am concerned, there is no other Camaro! It is the SS or nothing!

Say 3whiterag, what's the top engine going you're producing in your place of business? (Notice I didn't ask what it's going in.) =P

Navy... why not go "navy blue" lol. it's hard to tell what the factory will actually offer. I'm really thinkin about the bumblebee look but who knows i'll decide once i see all of them in person.

Dark blue for me. I'm not sure about stripes, white if I get em, but leaning towards not. Silver looks great, but black comes in 2nd place for me

I have the same colour problem - but will wait and see what's offered before I really decide. I like black and my Monaro looks mean in black, but a dark grey might be really nice (to try not to hide the lines so much).
I might wait for a top-line model. Depends what Chevy decide us Europeans deserve. If not, I'll be importing a left-hooker. |

It think I will revise my answer. I won't wait for the SS specifically, but rather the best engine option.
If they do like they did with the 4th gen Camaros and both the Z28 and SS have the same engine but "different" ratings, then I will be inclined to go with the cheaper of the two. Basically I want an LS3....not the L76 or any other "lesser" V8 they might put in it. |
