In March of 2008 i got 10k off the sticker of a 2008, ZO6, then received a 1k rebate and $3700 off on my gm card. doubt they will do that on a car under 40k though.

A similar thing happened a few years back down here, where a major brand new car dealer was not paying off the trades, so the person was still stuck with the payments. He went to jail for a year or 2 over that, and I think he is still in there. |

I hope this info is wrong... just special ordered a 2011 1LT last saturday. Jesus if they drop 10k off the price this week I'm definatly cancelling. I'm supposed to wait another 2 months before I get it... by then it sounds like the 12's will be out...

Hey it could be true, I got my 2010 2SS about 2 months ago for about $11,000 off of sticker!! They had it on the lot for almost a year. Not many dealers doing this though. I called about 6 area dealers after I got the price in writing and none of them could touch it. Wouldn't take more than $2,000 off

A 2010 car has depreciated seriously, regardless of the number of miles on it. Well, maybe not true if it has less than 100 - and will stay less than 100 (museum-bound?).
![]() I'm forecasting about $3,600 per year, or $300 per month, depreciation - and that's over a 10-year period. In 2021, a 10-year old Camaro with 30k miles on it may be worth $10k in trade if I'm lucky. A 2001 Z28 Camaro convertible in Outstanding condition with 30k miles lists for trade-in on Edmunds for $6,921, and at $9,842 dealer retail. With double those miles (60k), trade-in drops only $26 to $6,895, and retail drops $26 as well to $9,816. For double the miles on the car!! Keeping mileage low (3k vs. 6k per year) does not increase trade-in value significantly, though most people think it will! ![]() So on-the-lot depreciation needs to be considered when being offered a "discount" on a 3-model-year-old car. One bright spot: insurance, registration, and annual taxes, if any, will be less!

If this is a 2010 2SS I would believe this. This makes room for 6500 off of MSRP plus the 3500 cash back for it being an old model. Easily makes the 10k.
