Great to hear, it should be on the website by the end of the week. I am supposed to take pictures of the system tongiht which will give us pretty much everything we need to do a proper release.

I've seen this before on another camaro, not too impressed, I was thinking CAI would have bend the new tube like rotofab did, this looks piced together and mostly you can buy the parts your self and cut the tube, actually mooding your original tube looks beter than this, will see how the other kits look maybe they have a one pice tube that has the propre bends to fit a custom box, so far this is 2x for being cheap not having a nice one pice bend tube

Gotta +1 this... really disappointed in this "pieced together" solution. I could have done that long ago.

I am keeping my "modified" original for sure now... :(

Plus, I don't see how this is going to correct the downward angle that the tube enters the airbox at, which causes the filter to be pressed into the fender and can crush/compress the filter in places and puts stress on the seal that the tube goes thru on the airbox...

Im just going to buy the rotofab kit, at least it has the proper bends and I could put a lid over it and call it a day instead of waiting for these morons to figure out how to bend their f-ing tube to make it fit
Why don't you tell us how you really feel? But I would say this...those "morons" at C.A.I. certainly manage to create a quality kit for the vast majority of Camaro owners who, likely, aren't ever going to go F/I. So, that being said, go buy your Rotofab, if you're not satisfied with how they go about their business. Otherwise, if it's that big of a deal, and you think you can do better than "morons" who can churn out a quality product that appeases the vast majority of customers who buy it, design your own intake and start your own company if you're going to be that butthurt over it. Just saying. Otherwise, you just sound like you're whining.

There will be a thread posted by me later today explaining the new S/C system design as well as its pricing and other details such as HP gains. Anytime we release a product there is a lot of engineering, testing and thought into why we choose to do what we do. We design for optimal performance, while trying to keep the consumers price as affordable as possible. We figured people with a S/C people are after performance so sticking to our roots, we designed for optimal perrformance gains, not what looked like it would perform well, but what we could prove through testing. We ran flow analysis on about 6 different design options including a few with a solid tube like a few people made mention to, and the set-up we chose to go with performs the best. The tube is completely different, and the coupler is not just a 90 degree coupler, from the photos it looks simple but there is more their than meets the eye. I willl post the link to the thread as soon as its posted, I think it will clear up some of the judgement and opinions bases soley off of one picture.

Fair enough, but how do you see this addressing the poor angle of entry into the airbox (because the maggie sits higher and creates a downward angle) ?

This is the actual 3D CAD work from the system, as you can see the tube levels off before meeting the filter to place it straight in the box. Our brand is known for offering one of the best made intakes on the market, especially for the materials we use and the craftsmanship that goes into each design, we don't release something unless we feel its the best we can offer. The gains this system will get prove that. Like I said, be looking for the thread, it will be informative.
