Oh and Op I think it looks good btw.

Not sure how it's lame or poser like, plenty of auto cars come with leather boots stock. It's just a look, that looks better. No one is trying to fool anyone.
Now installing a fake clutch, that's lame.

There are plenty of OEM boot applications for auto shifters like your H3. I'm a manual guy too and have no problem at all with it. Looks a lot better too IMO.

Actually, I'm teaching my 17-yo son to drive manual transmission in the SS. He's afraid, but learning quick. I tell him that his grandmother drove a 62 Vette and had no problem shifting, so stop being a ***** and man-up!

Everyone has the freedom to customize their camaro to their liking, that is what makes this car so fun is that there are alot of options. What works for one owner may or may not work for the other but that's ok! Sometimes you see an idea and you say to yourself: hmmm. i didn't think of that and i like that idea! so you get yet ANTOHER option to add to your short list. If you don't like the idea, don't bash it, as someone else may like it and want it and then one day you'll see an idea that you like that someone else doesn't and it's ok we are here to learn, help, give ideas, and have fun. keep it light and drive safe.

I really like the look. I've also always thought that the plastic base looked a bit... lame? This is a nice, classy touch.

To those who mock the shift-boot, you do realize that any auto Corvettes come with the boot (and have for a LOT of years), right? Drive what you like, and stop criticizing people for their choices. Jeez.

I have an automatic because of my service related injury to my left knee. Yes I wanted a manual, unfortunatly I can't. I dont see anything wrong with the modification. Looks nice, to bad those that dont have no respect for others. If you dont like it you dont need to be a jack a about it. Just say well its not for me. Or looks like a manual and I dont like misrepresenting. Not WTF, or Poser or ....

Oh, and for you auto bashing guys, us auto guys "tap" through gears rather than "row" whenever we wish. Less power loss between shifts and added safety with both hands on the wheel are additional benefits. If it's good enough for Formula 1 and Champ cars it's good enough for me. To each his own. To me, these autos are the best of both worlds and I drove a manual for years. I love tap shifting. Why have a clutch if you don't need it? Not trying to change your opinion just open your eyes. These are not the autos of yesteryear.
I believe this says it all.I was also an avid manual guy who became converted(the manual Tremac is problematic, which also helped the decision).
