^ I'd like some answers to those questions too. And Eisenhauer, those pix are from the silver coupe at the Dallas show last Oct. You can see the power cord hanging down from the trunk area. Oh, and you can see the silver too. If the production model will be 95% the same as the coupe, you can expect pretty much everything you see in those pix to be the same. I know...I know...true dual exhaust. I pray it stays!!! But, looking back to the mule pix, IMO they do look similar from what you can see on the back end of the mule. Those two "boxes" at the back of the mule could be used to disguise the mufflers from the concept breaking up the "look" of what we know on the concept. I don't know...but makes sense to me. |

Okey, I got a question. The bottom pic of the mule, look between the tailpipe and the trailer hitch. What are those two little red things nearest the tailpipes?
Dragoneye, I was going to say just that. It is a crappy looking shell, you'd have to be blind not to see the Camaro underneath. |

After being real skeptical i took a look at more pics of this mule as close as i could. I have to agree with some of ya...i do believe this is the Camaro mule. The biggest thing that convinced me was this statement Scott made not to long ago...
"The C5 Corvette was developed using, among other things "CORMAROS" -- which were C5 chassis and drive trains underneath a Camaro body. (there's one on display now and then at the National Corvette Museum) We are certainly not going to put a Camaro out there to do early testing where you can actually see the car. (that would give the competition too much info....) So, sometimes we'll disguise the test mule. I'm not saying what you saw was a test mule for Camaro - -but what I am saying is that sometimes, there are test mules right under your nose -- and you completely miss them!"

(and I hate to sound greedy, but since it sounds like you have seen everything below a Zeta platform,) can you confirm if the driveshaft is One-piece or a two-piece unit? and can you put a pic of that on your website ? After seeing the suspension, I do not consider a Camaro to be an ordinary car. If the design holds up, you are right. It will turn the (pony) car industry upside down.

With the versatility of the Zeta platform the Camaro shouldn't be threatened with discontinuation if it's #'s drop below 100,000. |

I'm only parroting what I heard from multiple GM people...near 100,000 or bust.I agree, though...that depending on how this car handles, and/or how the public reacts to it...it could very well sell between 75,000 - 100,000. The more the better. Example (though not the same territory) - When the charger first came out...I didn't see any on the road. Now, I'm shocked if I don't see at least 2/3 on my way to work/school everyday. I hope it's like that with the 'maro...but, nix the slow start.

On inside line they have a quick article on these pics. They have a side pic, the only thing is that the wheelbase doesnt look long enough. They only explanation i can think of is that they arent testing anything besides the engine or somethin.

I can kinda see that...keep in mind though...the Mule was photographed at a bit of an angle in that side pose. Even the slightest angle can thow off a pictures accuracy tremendously...

True, but wow! The rear wheel base is stretched extremely low. It makes the tires look very small. Damn near like the tires are flat.

You may forget to look for IRS on this mule becuase of the rear wheel hub. I know this is just a test mule but, pardon my french, it is like being at dinner and watching someone change their baby's diaper on the table next to yours! Again, I apologize for my semantics. Whew, let me look up from this screnn and at my concept poster
Ahh, relief.

At least the Michigan plates make sense. That's where GM does their development work.
