Always liked the AMT on this car. Outlaw is loud on my 2012 and tamed it down a bit with res x pipe, stock resonators deleted and Jpipes for the drone.Sounds great now!

Yea I was impressed at the sound. I'm definitely gonna go flowmaster. I can save the money I'd spend on a Borla and use it to get the CAI intake and skip shift I want. Since you have outlaws though, compared to the AMTs, is it a different tone or just louder? I like the AMT completely, but if the outlaws are the same but just louder, that would be what I want. But if they get that raspy, metallic tone to them then I'll just stay with the AT. I'm kinda wondering if I'm gonna have to be the guinea pig on this since no one seems to have the full outlaw catback. Everyone I talk to is gonna swear by whatever they have on their car

AMT is deeper due to the 3" pipes but more quiet from vid I have seen, Outlaws are louder, sound more in your face mean but fine in the car other then the drone I had.So catback= deeper and meaner?

Then I think that's what I should go with. I'm not sure what everyone means exactly by "drone", but I had the AMT kit on my '67 and swapped out the super 40s with super 10 single chambers and it is way louder and meaner, but at cruise throttle around 2000rpm it has a constant tone almost like a grumbly hum, but when I accelerate it sounds like a top fuel car. If that's the drone everyone talks about then that's no issue, I actually kinda like being able to hear the exhaust. And the outlaw catback is a 3" system too I think. At least the mufflers are and I don't see any reducers. Exact same kit as the AMT but different mufflers. You like your outlaws though?

You nailed the drone sound, loud with Outlaws but I have sensative ears and my wife didnt like it, and she likes the car to sound mean. Outlaws sound good, love the setup now. Member Buffinshine as vids of hi car being tested by flowmaster and has the hushpower and flowmaster clips.HE also has one of the outlaws but so does flowmaster on their site.

Awesome. Well I'll be ordering my exhaust probably tomorrow. Guess I gotta decide if I wanna play it safe and go with the AMT that I know sounds good or get the louder outlaw and chance it may not be as good as I was hoping.

What is the difference between AMT for GFX and AMT w/o GFX?

I have been looking everywhere but can't find anything on it.

The flowmaster website video shows a camaro with GFX getting a AMT w/o GFX muffler system at least according to the part number.

Thanks for the help.

I'm getting the AMT installed now and can't wait to finally hear it. The stock set up stinks and I've always loved flowmasters. If it's too quite I'll move up to the Outlaws and then when the warranty is up I'll get it tuned to get rid of the drone.

The one WITH GFX is for use on cars with the ground effects package. It looks like in your sig you have the GFX, so you need the kit for it. I think it just bends the tailpipe a little different to make it clear the lower bumper

And EOD, if I end up getting the outlaw I'll post a vid so y'all can hear it. Seems like no one but the flowmaster demo has the outlaw catback.

The only difference is the length of the short pipe behind the muffler with the chrome tips. I think the GFX version is a little shorter. If you download pdf install instructions from Flowmaster for both versions, there are pictures and parts lists for each. All part numbers match except for the last section and the pictures are a little different.
