Seriously I HATE the newsmedia, I hate that people read and buy into this crap, and I REALLY HATE that people feel the need to rain on my parade by automatically jumping on the bullshit bandwagon from the headlines.

Is this driving anyone else insane!!?!?!?!

/rant off.....
its just lame.
of course GM is in a pickle, but it will work out. it HAS to.
all im worried about is keeping this new momentum from being shattered.
i see NOTHING but new malibus on the road with the temp tags, enclaves, etc. people seem to be warming up to the new, GOOD stuff. and the camaro drives that home. even the new commercials seem to be hitting a sweet spot. but--- the second that EVERY STUPID NEWS SITE AND MEDIA OUTLET announces a possible bankruptcy, .... well, im just hoping the country doenst give up on the GM stuff. thats my only concern. other than that,

... pay those uneducated idiots NO mind. the advent of the personal computer, pda, and news sites has now given this info to EVERYONE. and the general public is not so bright. its like a chain reaction and i think part of the bigger economic issue. too much information.

That is why he said they weren't taking preorders. This is a true story man. If you wait for a "lot" car to come in, it isn't going to be what you want which is why I didn't care for the offer.
maybe schumacher just used 3-4 of there first allocations for lot cars? i cant imagine gm doing this or any company for that matter....thats just wrong

He isn't on the Camaro team. And he is limited by what he can say. Although I wish he didn't, he has to word everything he says very politically.

It's funny... it's like the New York Times reporter was reading what I posted. Here's an article published today.... Glamour dims as hecklers hit auto shows. It sucks dealing with idiots that don't know wtf they're talking about and enjoy throwing out doomsday scenarios and FUD. But at least we don't have to field those questions in front of crowds like the product specialists do.

I don't know who took a leak in who's corn flakes, but good Lord.

Scott has been open and forthright about what he could and couldn't share aboutthis car.

If some folks knew the passion and drive he had (has) in getting this car back into production, maybe you would understand his postion better. I am by no means a GM schill. However, I do listen and have talked quite at length with people such as Scoitt, to get a better handle on the why's and why not's of how this car came to exist.

Bottomline, like the venerable Lee Iacocca used to say, "If you can find a better car.... Buy it!"

So far what I have seen, the new Camaro has emerged at the top of the Pony Car heap.

I suggest some folks read the recently released Camaro Book on the Rebirth of this car by Edsall. It explains a lot about what transpired during the development of this car.

I'm really against doomsday scenarios, they drive me insane. My Aunt is a big doomsdayer, she pulled all her money out of the stock market and put it into Gold. Why? Because when the world currencies crash Gold will be the only thing worth anything....

Having to listen to it day in and out is pissing me off, I can only imagine what GM employees, and even more so reps like Scott have to deal with.
The next time someone makes that comment, just smile and write their name down on a piece of paper. When they ask what you are doing, tell them you are adding thier name to your list of a#&holes who aren't getting a ride in your awesome new Camaro!!!!!

Hi RL,

What everybody else said!

Seriously, have some patience. Look at it this way: No promises have been broken yet, right? When I ordered mine in Feb, my dealer told me I would have my car in early May. Just recently, he upgraded his expectectation to NEXT WEEK (April 20-24).

Camaro's are being delivered all the time. Let's wait and see if GM / Oshawa / our dealers start missing their delivery date promises before getting upset.

Cheers!

According to Automotive News as of last week. Over 5,000 Camaros had been built in Oshawa.

So we are getting there folks!
