I took apart my leaky tail light today (passenger side outer) and as you can clearly see in the picture they didn't silicone it good enough. I drew a yellow arrow on the picture pointing to where you can see the hole that is letting water in. I had about 2 inches of water sitting in there. I contacted Todd at technostalgia, but I am going to attempt to silicone it and fix it myself. The light was still functioning fine even with the water sitting in there so I don't see the need in them sending me a new one.
My recommendation to anyone looking to buy these lights is to silicone them yourself once they arrive BEFORE you take all the time to install them (cuz the installation is not fun) and you shouldn't have any problems with water leaking in. I understand and agree these are expensive lights and no one should have to take this extra step BUT it will save a lot of headache for you! I will be sure to let ya'll know if this fixes my leaky tail light!

Thanks for the post Jeremeymt, Im going to remove mine 1 more time and reseal them myself, I cant be bothered with dealing with the company on this, even more so I bought them from a Camaro5 vendor but I had to deal directly with the manufacturer for the warranty work. I hope it works out for you.

I immediately contacted Technostalgia about the problem and they tried taking me through a different couple steps to fix it, nothing worked. FINALLY they said they are sending me a new one and I have yet to get that part in. This problem is still going on...

Couple weeks ago I looked at my taillights and come to find out the inside right taillight has condensation on the lenses.

I love the tail lights but very unhappy with the service I've been getting over 3 months now and still not fixed. I have had to talk my way out of 2 tickets for broken tail light explaining to the cop whats happening.

Has any1 had any problems with these tail lights or Technostalgia products/service?

Taillights I bought - http://www.phastekperformance.com/20...taillights.htm

Technostalgia - http://cool-leds.com/index.htm

Video of the problem
I had water in one of my lamps the middle row leds for that lamp would stay on it would go into show mode for some reason when it was not even connected when the headlights are on. And drained my battery. I FEEL YOUR PAIN. I took it to a high end body shop I am hoping they can straighten this out for me.

I just got a phone call from a nice lady telling me that my lights are in and they got to me on the waiting list. I think I will wait it out a few months to see how this goes. Considering the cost I think I should not have to be sealing things myself.

Please update the thread as I am interested on how the warranty plays out.

I posted this on my thread but Ill repost So I called them today they got my taillights said the electronics in the taillight got loose. Whatever that means. They did not test it for the water leaking into it. They said it never said to. Thats fine. They then said they will check it out and have them sent out tomorrow. I will call and see what the issue was tomorrow.
Great customer service just sucks to have issues for expensive taillights. They never asked about a warranty. Which is good makes it seem like they care about there customers

So we had a big rain yesterday and low and behold my tail light took on water and this time it has caused a few of the LEDs to stay on constantly. So I give up. Calling Todd monday and see if I can get a new one sent out. So frustrating!

As much as I like these lights and want to buy a set, the persistent water/electrical problems hold me back. Are these lights leaking at the same place on everyone's lights?

I think I'm in the same boat as you. I was about to pull the trigger right now from phastekperformance, but glad I checked the forums!

The lights look sick, but not going to buy a product with this many problems! Sorry!

Thank God for Camaro5!!!

I posted this in another thread.

I have had my lights since january with no problems until this past weekend. Mine started doing "show mode" at random, then realized that the driver side only would do show mode, and marker light.....no brake, blink or hazzard I boxed them up and sent them back to Technosalgia yesterday for repair.

Got the lights back in 4 days! super fast turn around I think.
So far so good, seem to be working great now!!
