As a matter of fact, the cop pulled me aside and told me he thought I was racing, but he cannot prove it. I simply kept my mouth closed and took 2 citations. One for speeding and one for "improper lane change" or something.

My car never got out of control like that..........oh! but wait...............IT'S A v6!...........never mind.

Glad to know you are ok, good to see the V6 driver stopped and checked on you instead of just driving on by and shaking his head(like I probably would have done if someone in an SS tried to show me up like that, or at least that is how I would have interpreted it that way)

Good luck with your insurance, at least you are man enough to own up to it on here, kudos to you for that. Sad to see a loss like that beautiful Camaro you had.

Even if it's not totalled, it won't drive right ever again. There will always be little quirks and gremlins that will remind you of your adventure.

Not that we should give them a pat on the back or anything, but personally, I'm just thankful that the OP isn't physically injured, and that nobody else was injured in the incident.

Also, major props to the other Camaro driver for stopping to check on the OP. Good lookin out.
And that's my goal. I'm mostly trying to put the word out there so others can learn from me and keep their rides. Although, I really do appreciate everyone's concerns/condolences! It means a lot. Thank you!

When the air bags deploy, insurance companies write it off to totalled. My last car had the two front airbags deployed, 5,000 to replace them. It had to have a whole new dash installed and they got to 12,000 damage and stopped accessing the car. That is how I got my Camaro, New car replacement. And my damages weren't that bad.

Sorry to hear bout your loss.

Again...why does anyone feel the need to drive on the road (not track) with the traction control off...There is a reason why it is on the car. Because many people seem to outdrive their talent.
dumb question, why can it be turned off?
