i learned to drive a stick yesterday

i have my permit and have to learn to drive a stick for when i turn 16 as my car will be a stick. i am learning in a c5 corvette. i think it is pretty fast and a lot of fun!!!!

wow... wish i coulda learned in a corvette. i actually taught myself in the city's work truck that was interesting but with practice, i got really good congrats to you

I learned to drive a stick on my mom's old car. It was a 1989 toyota corolla alltrac station wagon. I got rid of that in 2000 for my current car, but I do still miss having the stick shift.

I had so much more control in the snow and stuff with that car.

I learned in my 3.8L 1996 Camaro which I still daily drive.

Taught myself the mechanics of it sitting in a car at the Cleveland Auto Show as a small child, but when 16 tried it for real in a friend's 1986 Chevy Cavalier that was already quite old by that time. Didn't stall once (of course did so as time progressed, when I got a hand-me-down '82 Ford EXP.

LOL, I had a 85 ford tempo that only had 1st-3rd gear, no floor on the passengers side, and no brakes . Best damn field car ever.

For me .... 1964 Chevy Impala with 3 on a tree with a straight 6 ( 215 I think ) if memory serves me ....
