Bonnie thought I was crazy but here is what I did when we had a pest dog before, owned by our older neighbor.

I knocked on the door, she answered the door and I asked why her dog was not on a leash. She said it keeps getting out (which I know was bullshit) so I told her with the straightest of faces (of course I'd NEVER do this but the threat was for HER benefit) "If I see your dog doing that to my daughters cat again I WILL shoot your dog. I WILL shoot that dog. Try me lady."

Never saw the dog outside the fence again.

Ask Bonnie about it.

AGAIN, I'd never shoot the dog. But the objective is to get it to stop. Owners love their pets. If they believe you'll do it, it will be effective. And you have pics.

Her dog cost us in a Vet bill.

At a bare minimum, you can get some dog repellant spray at Walmart, which I think works fairly well....this could be an immediate solution. I agree with everyone else though, you absolutely have to get this stopped, permanently, whether it be to confront the neighbor directly, call the law, etc.....your call, but get started on it NOW. I feel your pain, as I'm sure we all do....the dude has no respect whatsoever.

Since you know the approximate time this is taking place, cover the sidewalk in gorilla glue (preferably at night). If you had automatic start that would be awesome. If not just hide in your car and cover them both with a smoky burnout.

True story: A neighbor allowed her dog to pee on my roses near the walk every day...same time. I borrowed the neighbor's BB gun and sat back in the shadows with the window opened. Shot him right in the balls and the dog never peed on my yard again...honest. The lady didn't know what had happened and just looked at her dog puzzled about why the dog yelped.
