Go to the place with the allocations... If you don't have an allocation spot the chances of your car being built and showing up go from "maybe" to "not likely"....

The same thing happened to me when I bought my Colorado. The first dealer was happy to take my order. The order sat at 1100 for 4 months. No movement.
After that dealer got tired of me bothering them, they gave me my deposit back.
I went to another dealer, specifically asked if they had allocation (they did), and placed my order.
That order was placed in the middle of Feb. and I drove the truck home on April 8th.

The first dealer never told me he didn't have allocation for my truck. He was happy just letting me stew.

The lesson here is to ask if they have REAL allocation for whatever you want.

That's actually very strange. You don't need allocation for a Colorado. When you put a sold order in, they will pick it up immediately. The only ones you have a problem with are the launch vehicles such as Camaro, certain Corvettes and hot new products like the Malibu.

You dealer should have gotten the Colorado picked up simply by making a phone call (unless there were constraints on your order).
