How Long?

With all the synthetic oils I don't doubt mechanical parts lasting a long time however the only question I have is how long the front suspension without any grease zerks will last before replacing? I've had vehicles well over 200K and never replaced ball joints or steering arms. I don't see any way to lube these Camaro front ends and I don't beleive in permanent lubed joints or pivot points. Anyone have ideas?

These are machines, they wear out, go figure. Luckily for us, they are all replaceable and available. In fact, thankfully for the internet, fixing a 54 Chevy is actually more "doable" with available parts, even if you have to order from Cuba.

Face it, if a 67 Camaro can be pristine and perfect, a 2012 Camaro will be so in 2057, even if I hope to be dead by then...

I have the LS model with all seasons, I also drive 70% highway, 28% backroads and about 2% real city driving.
Will replace these this year before the snow flies so I know I have improved traction for the winter.
And NO, the are not down to the cords, they get checked and rotated regularly at the dealer when in for an oil change.
Oh, and cost for my 18" all seasons, appx 85.00 each. Better than my van or the 19"-21" tires on the LT/RS, SS?rs models!!

PieNsky was one I admired, he had a little over a year ahead of me when I finally got mine but I had been slooowly catching up to him.

He should be somewhere @125k at this time and I believe he said he was going to give it to a grandson when he was done with it.

IMO, these new cars will never last as long as the cars of the 60's and even the 70's. With technology being incorporated so much into there cars, you're going to have an empty wallet trying to fix everything down the road.

Drill a hole into the joint and install a greasable zerk fitting, maybe?
