I really like this! Better than the Holden car in my opinion.

This is also very good, and the aggresive front fascia is a good thing compared to the Holden version. I was hoping to see the lines on the side be a little harder, or edgy, but overall I like what I see.

It does sound like a slightly updated G8 to me, but that car was a fantastic car, so hard to complain about that.

When can we expect to get some powertrain information?

Not sure yet. SS reveal is next Saturday so maybe then.

Holden honestly didn't want to reveal the VF this early but GMNA's insistence on having a Daytona reveal for the SS forced their hand. That's why we know nothing about powertrains or any other models for that matter. The Calais V is the flagship luxury model of the Commodore line, there's a bunch of lower trim levels and sport models that have yet to be seen.

Saturday will definitely be interesting. Reuss used the words "four-door Corvette" and "nothing like the G8 GXP." I really want to love this car and have one in my garage but I don't know if the NASCAR fascia and an LS3 is enough to get it there. They used the term "halo car" but I'm not seeing that yet. I guess we'll have an answer in a week. Looking forward to the unveiling.

Hopefully if they can clean up the front end some, then the design could work as an SS. I still see a lot of the old g8 sedan in the body work, especially at the c-pillar.

With the right wheel package and body trim, this sedan may be ok for a start. GM's designs have begun to look a bit busy lately; Some of those lines could use more studio time.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

If you read the article with this picture of the race car is what they are calling the SS V. You can guess thats the SS here. The race car engine is a 5.0 V8 at 650hp but again thats a race engine. Couple days and we shall see ours.

SS will most likely have the LS3.

So does that mean it will be manual only or will they use the L99 also?
