I have this spoiler and kept both lights like someone said more lights the better for people to see you when you stop.... not really happy about the end pieces the way they sit... they line up perfact to the trunk lid lines when looking at it from the front, and the gaps are pretty good. but they need to go on a angle achieve that. you can see it from the back when looking at it

Here in South Carolina, you are required, at minimum, to have 1 working brake lamp visible at 100 ft. and no glaring or dazzling lights. So show lamps aren't allowed on the street. But, according to SC state statute § 56-5-4730: When a vehicle is equipped with a stop lamp or other signal lamps, such lamp or lamps shall at all times be maintained in good working condition. If you lived in SC, and if there is a blockoff plate available to place inside where your rear window CHMSL is, then using that gets you out of the statute since the lamp is no longer equipped with that lamp. You only need ONE to work, and the rest are considered discretionary. But if there's more than one, you must have all lamps in good working condition. Kind of a puss out, but that's how it is.

The brighter the rears the less chance you have of getting rear ended. All my life i've had super bright brake lights (on my 02 camaro, 02 trans am, and 14 RS camaro) and i've yet to be rear ended.
Could just be me or where I live, but I can't go against what i've personally seen. |
