had a guy at a car show tell me that they were only making V6 Camaros.
I pointed to the "SS" on the rear and said mine's a V8.
he told me i had better look at the engine.

Yep the wifes redline comes with an engine the size of a bottle of mountain dew and still huals ass. It ain't in league with my SS though!

So far the stupid questions have been few and far between for me.

I've had more than one person ask if I paid $45 or $50k for it.
A lot of people have ased if I paid $5k over.

But the most amusing question I have been asked so far came in the form of a movie quote.

At a stop light some kid riding in the back seat of his buddies car (they all looked about highschool age) motioned for me to roll down my window.
The kid asked "what's the retail on one of those?" so ignoring the movie quote I just tol hm what sticker for the 1SS was and his jaw about hit the floor.

After a couple more questions about engine size hp and so on the kid replyed with "dude, you where supposed to say more than you can afford pal, you know like in the movie"

Light turned green and that was that.

My mom has the GXP and damn its fun, even though it is an auto. I test drove a manual redline awhile back and it was a blast. I could drive those cars every now and then but if I spent too much time in one I might develop claustrophobia.

As far as dumb comments ...every1 who knows me knows I know more about the car than they do so...so they don't even bother

In December we stopped to get gas and a kid in a 4th gen. pulled in to get gas next to us...He proceeds to go on and on how much he loves our new Challenger...I mean come on he was in a Camaro!

One guy was telling me how they made the camaro's out of the corvette plant in bowling green, kentucky.... I tried correcting him but he wouldnt budge on his stance.

Another guy thought it was a mustang..... damn dude says camaro right here on the side....

At Biff's last Friday (it's a car gathering in San Antonio) we were chillin in front of our 4 Camaro's when a guy walks up and says they're all just V6's. Which was funny because one of them had the hood up and the engine cover even says "V8" on it...

Also ....... SS = big engine, RS = sport appearance package.... that concept is too hard for some to grasp

... even for previous Camaro owners

whats even funnier is when people start telling me my cars specs ... and then hesitate to believe me when I correct them.

Just left lunch with a friend and I was having a smoke by my SS. Guy comes up to his car right in front of mine facinf my car with his 2 sons, as they're getting in I hear him say. "No that's definitely a V6, they're not making the V8's yet. When they do it's gonna be a Z28 not an SS." I just started laughing.
