Looks like part of that internal pipe is, what, 40% perforated? And how much packing was removed from the suitcase? How can you honestly call that a straight through design?

Congratulations, you win the Good Taste Award. Better sound, better looks, Papa John's....no wait....that's pizza. Sorry! But I totally agree with you. Oh, and the weight loss isn't a bad thing either.

Mine should arrive in a few days. I'll report on the sound improvement, if any. The looks improvement goes without saying.

so im a possible convert from mustang to camaro. i had an 05 but sold it for financial reasons.

anyways, when i had my mustang parts were much cheaper. anything exhaust, intake or f/i wise was considerably cheaper than equivalent camaro parts. i woud never have considered paying more than $550 for an axle back system so i'm just wondering why camaro mods are so much more

Guys, Tons of R&D are spent on those ugly cans, I'm telling ya, they FLOW air!! I'm sure you will see many 500+ HP cars with those stock cans. I wish someone would flow test a stock can and lets say a named brand can, You arent going to see much unless they compare it to a OFF road race can.

I'm hoping it's just because of the newness of the 5th gen camaro and after the hype drops so will some of these outrageous prices will too. I'm just gonna paint my drop tanks black and leave them be until something better and affordable comes along.

I'm sure you're right, but I have no regrets deleting my ''trash cans'' as it looks so much cleaner and sounds meaner. Maybe after I get an intake I'll get a muffler or 2 added, but it will be something that actually looks good AND flows good.

This is pretty interesting. I hate to admit I fall into the crowd that doesn't like the look or how much they weigh, but now, I can move a catback a little further down the list of mods', especially since they work so well. If they just weren't so hideous, I'd just go with some cutouts past the cats' and call it a day. I'd like to see some good back-to-back testing with the OEM system vs. a 3-inch CB though. I'm planning on FI, so I wondering if that's even worth the money, because that's a grand I can put toward something else.

Thanks for the heads-up

I think what Andy was saying is that there is really no reason to buy an after marekt kit, because of the factory straight thru design, you won't gain any power with an after market kit.

Aftermarket will be for sound on this car, unless your making LOTS of power.

Just want the V6 to sound more like the V8. I want that deeper note throughout the acceleration range, even at the higher rpms where it starts to sound a bit like a ricer.

Don't tell me to get the V8, that's not going to happen!
