Yep, more power helps! Now, weight isn't as much of an issue, but traction is

You could have saved those $10 , and use it to get some nice cold ones ( beers ) , would have done way better results taking in account the outside temperature from where you live

Occasional wine. Just water the rest of the time.

I wonder how much weight a carbon fiber hood-door-trunk would save? Cost?

if you want to weigh your car go to a junk yard and ask if you could pull it on there scales. Junk yard guys are usually car guys and will do it for free.

I would have to look up where the closest one is. Never seen one around here.

have you called Jenny Craig? lol. lol. i am looking at new camaro, and looking at 19 inch polished vs the 20 inch wheels. is it safe to assume the 19 are lighter? yeah, when you think about it, the power to weight ratio in these is nuts. my firebird with a v6 weights 3400 pds and is much less h.p. but, they are tanks. but, then too, may be safer too, with the weight. some cars so light, they feel tinny and no meat. so, there are pros and cons i guess.

Hood is almost worthless (money wise) as the stock one is aluminum, on a mass prod CF hood you loose about 1-3lbs, on a race one you loose more but its a one off part (Note I did mine for the looks, and the 1-3lbs is a bonus).

Doors are about (if I remember) a 20-30lbs savings each.. but will crumple in a side impact giving you 0 protection (take the door apart and you will find a steel side impact beam). They are also outrageously expensive and you usually lose the controls/handles.

Trunk saves some, but the cost (usually $400+) is prohibitive.

Docs thread and the other linked above are your best references.
