Better hang on on to that G8. Get the SS later. There are plenty of those.

I appreciate everyones non-biased input! I know it's my decision but its prob 50/50 in this thread lol so that's what I'm going through

I've made a plus and minus list but it's all personal opinion. Good news is I don't have to decide tomorrow. Second I'd have to line up a buyer first. Not too many people have $23K just laying around for a rainy day.

Wanted to make sure you saw this:

If you want to give a modded 2SS a go let me know. I'm just a few miles down I-85 and wouldn't mind letting you take it for a spin if I was riding along. We currently have the same level of engine mods, so would be a good comparison for you.

Mine will be tuned in a few weeks as well, not sure if yours is.

I test drove a G8 before i bought my 2010 Camaro. The sales rep was trying his best to get me to change my mind about getting it instead of the Camaro. It was no contest the Camaro is just so much more enjoyable to drive although i admit the G8 is a sweet ride. If i was in the market for a performance sedan the charger SRT8 is hands down my top choice. Here is a shot of a gorgeous 2014 1LE you will forget all about your G8.

My biased opinion, as a former G8 owner? SS. No one every yelled at me that they loved my car when I drove my G8. Shifting gears yourself is fun too, and mods are easier to come by.

That's why you bought your car?

Looks, better stock suspension and power (in comparison to the G8 GT I had). I've not met a Camaro owner yet that doesn't like the attention their car gathers, if you search this forum there are many post about how people like the attention they get.

I would say keep that nice G8. SC it and never look back. Are those camaro wheels on it? The only thing I didn't like about the G8 was the steering wheel.

SS! 2 door car over a 4 door, its such a difference. I love your G8 but, I had a 4th gen camaro, and can never go to a 4dr car after owning two camaros.

Thanks!

Yup, those are Camaro midnight silver metallic wheels. Also got the camaro Brembo calipers and rotors. I like these better then the stock ones too.

I'd love to do a super charger, but $7K really isn't in the budget right now lol. Plus I'd like to do a cam first and replace all the DOD lifters and garbage thats in there.

I mean no offense to ANYONE, but the one thing I like with the G8 is you don't see many. It turns heads every where I go, random people ask me about it, but with the Camaro I just see so many every day. The rare factor just isn't there. I've never seen a 1LE on the road, most are SS or V6 models.

I work for myself doing computer programming at home, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm actually in Gastonia, but most don't know where that is. Only about 20 minutes to N Tryon for me.

Which way do you go home? I assume 85 S to 77 N right? I could meet you somewhere if you give me a time the day before. Maybe somewhere around 85/77 intersection.

Do you want to drive it before or after tune. Just had headers installed so won't get full benefit of those until tune.

Also, mine is the 6-speed (LS3).
