Tonight I was sitting in the Camaro when a lady about mid 30's walked by and stuck her head in the passengers window and said "I Love your car" I said Thank You.. She smiled and walked off. I watched to see what kind of car she had and saw her get into a BRAND NEW TOYOTA CAMRY with a driveout tag on it... Bet she wishes she had gotten a Camaro instead!

Hell, we own 3 camaros and if I see one on the road its still a head turner for me, its like I forget I'm driving one because I absolutely love how the car looks.

Your probably like me, you bought it because you had to have one and didn't think much about the reactions you would get. I have never owned a muscle car, or as cutting edge as this one. the first few times its kind of strange but ya get used to it, I just smile now and say thanks, its an awesome machine

the new Camaro generally sticks out due to it being a new car. therefore it's gonna draw some attention for a little while.
but then you add the fact that you own a Transformers edition Camaro with a few aftermarket goodies and that really gets the attention meter on high. I literally cannot go anywhere with my car w/o at least three or four people saying something to me. I always respond with kind "thank you's" and "it's a very fun car to drive" phrases. now when it comes to kids? that's a bit different. almost every kid that sees my car goes crazy. their typical response is: "mommy look! it's Bumblebee!!!!" lol then they come up to me and I tell them thanks for the compliment. I also tell them not to touch the car because that will make Bumblebee mad and he will transform right there and then and that won't be good. the kids usually laugh and keep their hands away from the car.

well, GM "almost" got it right. it would have been perfect had they not used the paper thin paint that chips so freakin' easily.

O yea...I'd say that if you want to avoid comments, trade for a Toyota Camry. That should take care of the "problem!"

I get embarrassed, bashful and start to downplay the car like it's not a big deal
![]() My wife says I should be proud to have such a nice car, and I am, but I guess I feel guilty having such a nice car in a bad economy. |

I say thank you and smile very sincerely. I had very little to do with its looks, but I don't have a problem with people looking at/complimenting my car. Thats not why I bought it, but I am enjoying showing it off while it lasts...it won't be long before they're everywhere.
