I believe you said above these still didn't net sufficient grip upon launch (track prep aside),
And that your leaving unused tread at the edges.
it would seem to me you need to make some more passes with less air pressure to flatten the center out more and use up the edges (assuming there's no deformity on the tire / rim combo setup).
Tim
He has a tire meant for a minimum 12" rim on a 10 1/2" rim its never going to sit flat.

I was hoping I could play with the pressure enough to get it flat. :-/ I'm using less than what a 305 would be putting on the track.

Live and learn, or sit at home and dream. I'd rather try and fail than sit and pretend to win. Hat's off to OP for trying for us all.

All part of the journey.
Ya I definitely learned. The 305/35 was almost $100 cheaper for the pair. lol

I actually had intended on keeping these 345s because the RaceStar 17" rear wheels are supposed to come out soon. Problem with that is, the tires for the 17" wheels that MT makes aren't in the correct overall diameters. :-/

Maybe Viper guys run these tires too?

I'm trying to pin down the ETA on the Race Star 17x9.5 or 10's for the rear, no time line yet.

I'll see what I can get for them. I'm sure switching to a smaller tire would give me back the tenth I'm missing. :-/ Like HRD_WRK said... you live and you learn. lol

Thanks for checking on those wheels. I like the 18s and the tire selection I have. I might stick with them after the 305/35s.

Well if you dead hook on them, you can at least enjoy some traction and work on the combo.

Which, considering it's summer in Texas, is all that matters right now.
