Before taking the zl1 I would have the dealer check it out thoroughly. I'd also ask a couple of questions like:
1. Will the aftermarket parts void any part of the warranty? If it does, will the dealer either honor the warranty or replace the aftermarket parts with oem parts before taking delivery? Document on the bill of sale that the ZL1 has aftermarket parts if the dealer will not replace the parts with oem.
2. Why was the ZL1 traded in? Just get a feel of the dealer's response, as it is likely to be the un-truth.
3. Consider trading for a new 1le if that option is possible. I always shun trading a new car for used, and if you bought the 1le as a supposed new car and the dealer didn't disclose that it was worked on, then IMO that dealer owes you the exact quality of what you paid for. Even though the ZL is a higher value, we are still not on an even plane, since you're going from a new car purchase to a used car purchase.

3a. If you bought your 1le used, then disregard response 3.

Isnt the original transaction, fraud? The dealer KNEW it was repainted and sold as new. Lawyers out there. Fraud?

Since fraud. Take the ZL-1. Tell them due to fraud they need to replace the clutch no matter the condition. Also have a different dealer do an inspection and ECM scan.

Just because the car was painted doesn't mean it isn't new...

ZL1 AND they transplant the Recaros from the 1LE.
This,
But first I would need to know what slightly used is. All things being equal I would take the Ali hands down.

The dealer is offering a slightly used ZL1 for the price of a slightly used 1LE with shitty paint? Something doesn't seem right....

Get them to give you a different new 1LE period. That is what you wanted and paid for. The ZL1 sounds like it was modified for hard use. Check your insurance costs for a ZL1.

Since you bought a brand new car I would ask for another brand new car, something isnt right about that repaint, how could a kid get on top of that camaro and do that damage without someone seeing what was happening?

If you wanted the ZL1 I would take it to a different dealer have it checked out and also ask the dealer for the previous owners name so you could call and speak with them about why they traded it so soon after installing all of those aftermarket parts but IMO your not gonna be happy cause you bought a new camaro, not used and I would stick to my guns and ask for a brand new camaro....

The zl1 seems in perfect shape but the clutch feels a little off like its not grabbing like it should. Dealer is supposed to check clutch today. Dealer would be giving me total value owed for my trade and giving me the zl1 for same price

Question is what would you do
keep the 14 1le that needs about 5800 in paintwork to make it right or take the zl1 with a few aftermarket parts?
If you dont mind, which dealer in Florida did you purchase it from? I just got a new 2014 SS from Jon Hall over in Daytona and they delivered it to my house on a flatbed truck because I didnt want the extra miles since I am in Naples.
