I bought my open-face helmet from Summit Racing (G-Force). I got my closed- face from JEGs (Bell). Just make sure it is SA2010 or newer (SA2015 should be coming out soon) and you will be fine.

Excuse me for a minute while I climb up on this box....

Ok... huff'in and puff'in...

A motorcycle helmet is designed for impact and abrasion resistance...

An automotive helmet is designed for impact and flame resistance...

A motorcycle helmet exposed to excessive heat, as in a car fire will shrink wrap itself to yourself...

Wait a bit until I get off the rig and come on down to my neck of the woods and I'll personally drive you over to the Simpson World Headquarters and introduce to a few peeps and get you fitted for a helmet... Here's the deal, if you decide on a helmet and they dont have it in stock, they will make it.... I ordered mine one day and picked it up the next... Yup, they build them right there in New Braunfels Texas...

Barring the ability or time to come down my way,

Check this place out...

This is what my wife and myself use at Thunder Valley:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gf...rgbk/overview/

You will also need a fire jacket since you will be running an aftermarket power adder:

Cheap insurance for me, not because of my car but you never know what the idiot beside you will do.

Yeah a helmet shrink wrapped to my head doesn't sound very pleasant..

Would definitely love to go to the simpson headquarters for a custom fit helmet, don't know if time will permit any time soon but hey you never know. We go to Dallas every once in a while. I'll have to check out Smiley's in OKC, thanks

Yeah I was wondering about the jacket you were wearing and if that was a rule.. and trust me I worry ALOT about the idiot next to me. My car is flawless and all I think about is someone next to me loosing control and crashing me. Then insurance finds out im at the track and doesn't cover me....
