Yes, 19-23K is what I find for clean '05-'06 GTO's with low mileage and clean titles.

My first thought was GTO. If 2000 Z28s are still in the 17k range though, there is something to be said for that car maintaining its value.

And I don't dislike the Mach 1 Either.

Heres my thoughts about it, personally I dont like the GTO it just doesnt do anything for me.

I like the late 98-01 (somewhere in there) GTP you could get a 4 door or a 2 door & its supercharged. We have alot of guys out there racing the cars under 12s with little if any mods. & a couple of the guys out there have well over 200k on their cars with out changing motors. I know our regal has 214k on it.

but enough of what we think its what you think.

My cause? I'm not sure what that means but here is the first search I did for 2005 GTO's on Ebay that have actually sold and the results:

Looks like my guess was as good as yours. The $20K GTO sure don't seem to be selling, at least not on Ebay.

I don't see anything that contradicts what I said before. You don't know who you are buying from with ebay and good luck getting any conflicts resolved should they arise. When you go to pick up your ebay car and see the "Se Habla Espanol" banner hanging outside the auto-shack used car lot...or better yet, joe got my "dealer's license" and got the car at the auction, flip it quick, anonymous sells you a wreck...

The clean/true cars are the ones with the 19-22k prices. Most of the others have reserves in the aforementioned range. The rest you would not want.

Of course you could get lucky...someone lost their job and needs cash???

I dont think your following... Im saying that the Good GTO's are going to come in at OVER 20k... im not arguing for the 14k Goats.

And just for the record I know multiple people who have bought and sold cars on Ebay without a problem. One even was international.

Thats true, I have a hard time referencing cars from ebay, because of those things you mentioned. Some cars of ebay are great, but then i have heard some horrer stories as well.

Your link shows the asking prices, not the selling prices. If you look the completed listings, the numbers are quite different. Also, I was referencing 2005 GTO's, not 2006 GTO's. I know what their resale tends to be, considering I sold my own 2006 GTO a couple of years back.

I was not trying to get into a pissing match about value/pricing anyway. I was just pointing out that the resale value of a GTO is no greater than the resale value of a Mach 1. They were the two of the cars the OP had on his list.

Either car would be a fun driver, IMHO.

I'd like to hear your guys opinions on which car would be the best overall car... not just the one with the most HP.. but reliability, fun factor.. etc etc...

Here's the list:

2000-2002 Camaro Z28

2002-2006 Mustang GT (or a mach1 if possible)

2000-2002 Trans am Firebird

2005 GTO

2006 Monte Carlo SS

All those cars are within a 17K price range...

If you think an older camaro/firebird/mustang would be better than the newer ones, suggest it and tell me why... Like the early 90's models.
Can't go wrong with any of those. Personal taste is I don't like the 06 Monte Carlo SS .. have you thought about adding a 2003/2004 Cobra to this list?

Well pissing match aside when I mentioned resale value I was comparing it to the Camaro and GT... Idk how many units the mach 1 made each year
