1. 1LE badge or label 2. Non-GMO labelling on food packaging If you want him to to really go nuts, just add a rear 1LE emblem on your 1LE, and a Say No To GMO sticker on the rear window, of your Camaro. And you are Golden |

Depends how you define "better."
Faster around a track, yes. Faster in a straight line, no. And of course ride quality factors in if used as a DD. 1LE is an option, not a model. You could say an SS with the RS option is "better" than your SS without RS. But again, there are pros and cons to both.

Man, does everyone have to be mean? Where is the Xmas spirit and the kindred spirit of Camaro ownership? LOL. No hatin! I am 48 and have 3 Camaro's now. Have no problem with 18 or 19 year old Camaro owners! As long as you are paying for it and not mommy and daddy! Bought my 82 Z28 in 1986 with 6500 miles on it! Was working full time and going to college full time! Two college degrees and 2 businesses of my own later and I bought 2 more Camaro's in 2014. And....almost 29 years later, I still have the 1982 Z28 in showroom condition with 78K miles on it! We are all brothers and sisters Camaro friends!

Great pictures!!!
As far as what I was driving at age 18 and 19: -A 1984 Renault Encore that I redid the top end on (1993) with 250k miles -A 1989 Hyundai Encore whose harmonic balancer fell off, I kid you not, fell right off with the front of the crank too. I don't begrudge anyone anything, the world is a funny place, but please don't use that kind of argument here on C5. WTF does it matter if anyone even had a car at 18?

Those are both beautiful cars. Cool story about your friend coming here from Armenia. When I was 18, it was 1980, I bought a used 1976 Camaro LT with a 305ci engine. That car was my pride and joy. I hope you guys enjoy yours as much as I did mine. I have a feeling that your friend really admires you, so he bought a car just like yours. Take it as a compliment. Congrats to both of you.
