I would say 98% of ZL1 & Z/28 owners have their cars as the 3rd or 4th car in their household. Most peeps who can afford a 60k+ car are buying a high performance car as a weekend warrior car only. ...

I'm sure most high end car owners don't drive as much when they can because they don't want to park in tight spaces where their cars can get damaged.
Hmm - not sure where you got your 98% statistic from. But let me proffer an alternate thought process.

I can afford a Camaro ZL1 because I work my butt off. My commute to/from my work is 2 hours a day of driving. To make 2 hours of driving to/from work an acceptable lifestyle - I drive something that makes me want to do that commute every day. THIS car makes me want to do that drive every day.

I love this car to bits. Bought her mid January 2015. Closing in on 4K miles. I plan to drive her into the ground. I try to park carefully, but refuse to be neurotic about parking and dirt.

We are a 4 car family - aside from the ZL1, a 2014 Z51 Stingray (spouses daily driver), Chevy Dually truck to pull horse trailer, and 1969 L46 corvette as "the queen".

My thought is, if you can do it, life is too short to drive cars you don't enjoy.

I'm with you harmonyp! Just cracked 4k miles driving to mom's house for Easter dinner. Even my dog loves it but she's not so enthralled with its abundance of horsepower. :-)

83k miles. Some of the "daily driven" miles in here are pretty funny.
This car is meant to be driven. Go drive it.

JBrick. I am in Kansas city area, so drive your ZL1 more so I see one now and then on the road. frankly, I hardly ever see any models here besides LT, LS and SS. I hardly ever see a 1 LE or ZL1 Camaro here.
but, frankly, I am picky with my 30K 2LT vert and where I go and park, etc. so, I cant fatham how much more picky I would be if I doubled the cost of the car and had a ZL1

I used to daily drive it, but then I heavily modified it and it became my weekend fun car at that point - at 700rwhp, cammed, no cats, headers etc it's just not something I want to drive to the office every day. My neighbors thank me.

In stock form I would absolutely daily drive it though

I make it a point to drive the ZL1 or the Chevy SS every day, even if it's just to get milk or gas.

Not a d.d. I'll have about 4.500 miles in 2 years. Dates, car shows and "night driving". I have a company car for errands.

My ZL1 is my only car and is driven daily. 49,000 miles so far. I have also made around 700 passes at the drag strip plus 2 days of 1/2 mile runway racing. Over 700 whp and runs 9s in the 1/4.
