You obviously didn't even read what you quoted. I said the numbers were in the Camaros favor.

I know everybody talks about plastic this and plastic that, but the only car I've ever been in that the interior didn't boil down to "plastic" was my bosses $100k+ M6.

I consider the interior of my wife's malibu to be nice and stylish, but ultimately its plastic.

I honestly don't think you can expect much more from a car any average person can afford.

I sat in one of the new 2010 Stangs that so many people are raving about the interior and my response was "WTF is the big deal?" Its no different than any other "working man's car."

Call me uncultured or whatever but I just don't get it....
My first thought is that of my wife's Mini Cooper S...yeah it's plastic and all but the dash itself is a nice soft plastic...almost a leather feel to it. I remember a Cavalier (yes...I said Cavalier) I had that had a vinyl top dash as well as top door panels! The Camaro doesn't!

The center console could be a leather unit and the parking brake could be leather wrapped...much like the steering wheel and the shifter! Yet, it's plastic.

It just feels cheap to me...looks nice, like the design, don't even want or need a navi screen or anything like that...just want a more expensive feel to the interior...it can be done!

I like the gauges and the lighting...I don't like the cheap feel of the materials used is all...like the housing that the gauges are in...hard, hard, hard cheap looking and feeling plastic...almost toy like!

My thoughts...that all. It's a great car, I'd buy 10 if I had the money...butI would like a better "feeling" interior on a car I paid $35K for!

Who can even tell a new car from one that's 2 years old, anyway? Is the 2010 Mustang getting more stares than the 2009?

As I said, weak argument.

Edit - As far as the rating goes, it is subjective. But giving the Camaro an 11.2 is just wrong and shows a lot of bias. I actually prefer the Mustang's exterior over the Camaro's, but not by much (probably rate them 14 to 13.5). The Challenger's probably the hardest to rate because it's styling is so retro; it could be rated ahead of both Mustang and Camaro depending on how much you appreciate retro styling.
i look at new cars more than i look at old cars. and yes, the 2010 mustang is getting more stares than a 2009. even the 2010 equinox gets more looks than a 2009. im not saying that a 2006 mustang gets more stares than a 2005, they look the same. when they change the styling, (not change year models with no changes) people are like "hey, i havent seen that before" the frist time the see it. the next time "theres that new camaro again" and so on.
the only reason its a week argument is because there have been no studies comparing how many looks an 2009 mustang gets compared to a 2010....i think we know what the results would be. just because you cant cite a source doesnt make it week. personal experience is a form of evidence

Has anyone noticed that ever since the camaro started out selling the other two that magazines started lowering the camaro. I think its simple magazines are there to advertise and sell cars. So it makes since to bash the camaro because it does nothing to sales. Now telling people its the fastest and best looking won't help the other guys. They need sales to so they started saying the mustang and challanger are bettter. So maybe people will start flocking that way and buy them too. Hands down despite what the zines say the camaro is selling more at a good price and is the most powerful oh yeah and fastest. The only thing mustang has on it is weight and anyone with that complaint, I say mines bigger 6.2 with more weight or 4.6 I wish I where a true big V8.

The Mustang is the only one with a convertible option, too. That's going to drive a lot of it's sales as well.

Which really makes you wonder how bad Camaro sales would be crushing Mustang sales if Camaro had a convertible out as well...

The seats in the SS are one of the most comfortable seats for me in a car in a long time. I have owned many cars, and they fit me well. I give a big thumbs up for the interior as far as seat quality.

Enjoy your car
Count me as one who dislikes the look of most BMWs. To each his/her own as the saying goes.

Angry? Yes it's angry with the stupid reviews by biased reporters!

...and the real proof will be in sales - I do believe the Camaro is winning.

I like the interior styling. especially the AC/heater controls. Now, I haven't driven any newer cars for awhile and the Camaro is the first new car I've owned in 10 years, but I find the controls to be very fluid and well put together considering what I'm used to. Not a big fan of push button stuff, because it always seems to break. Same thing with the old dials. The way these dials are put together and the way they smoothly move from setting to setting leads me to beleive they wont break as easy.

Its all opinion at this point, but the test of time will tell.

My only complaint (and I forget what exactly what their called) are the plastic panels that run along side the door sills. I wish they would have used something there more durable. I can allready tell its going to scratch easy.

Not that I don't agree with you, but number of sales doesn't dictate which car is better. Case in point, Toyota.

Sales also don't factor in how many people turned their cars back in because they are not happy with them either.
