Sounds like the 1LE was not meant for you. Trade the car for something else, don't attempt to butcher it. The 1LE isn't a drag car anyway, it is a track car or a driver's touring car. It is meant to be manual only for a reason. Sounds to me like a better fit for you would be a 2SS L99 + 1LE suspension kit option.

The 1LE car is for the manual driver, the one who prefers that style transmission. If you prefer an auto, then this isn't the car for you.

I still read of there being a little roughness or harshness with these things under easy driving conditions, so I'll find either find out for sure for myself that they do or be still left wondering when or how often it does happen.

I suck so badly at video racing games that I don't get much chance to do any shifting in them at all .

the manual is better for an aging brain. as long as your knee is willing the MT keeps the mind WAY more active while driving than selecting D and go.

and no i don't want to hear about your floppy wheel levers. i have them on my accord. *yawn

You just wrote the magic ingredient word, exotic.

I'm a stick guy myself, but let's face it, an exotic car like a Lambo would not feel right with a stick. In fact, it might just be pure rediculous looking to see a stick protruding in that cockpit period, lol.

On the other hand, since this is a muscle car sub-forum after all, we can expect the manual stick vs paddles debate to carry on for a while longer .

I'm all for driver feel and the "experience", but it's all about the cars personality too.

When the first images that come to mind at mention of "Lamborghini" are of the Countach, Miura, and Jarama, three pedals and an H-patterned shift lever is exactly what I expect to see, even today. Seeing only two pedals and either paddles or a straight-gate shifter is still a letdown even knowing that higher track performance is possible that way (if the driver is up to it). Maybe it's because they make the car look like it's still got a conventional automatic.

Next month will tell . . . something.

So you never know what life is going to toss your way so if someone wants an automatic 1le, make suggestions on what it may take to do the conversion not how you feel about stick vs auto it's not the question that was asked.

I think most people will cut others a lot of slack in such cases - if there's at least a hint that physical limitations are involved. But in the absence of such information (and particularly in this 1LE forum), the more usual assumption is that somebody is trying to make a dragstrip hero out of a car that was specifically intended for those who like corners over straight lines (which doesn't go over so well).

If you knew the history of my knees without knowing anything else about me, I'm pretty sure you'd make an incorrect assumption about what transmission type I wouldn't choose to drive. Works both ways.
