Had my locks/ignition punched column dropped and MAF sensor disconnected when I walked out to mine earlier this year. Its infuriating, I talked to a guy driving a 14 SS a couple days back on highway 84 saying he got his 11 SS stolen a month earlier. I don't know if its the same guy but its a god damn shame.

It seems like every week I hear about a 5th gen Camaro stolen in the Bay Area. Its a very prevalent issue out here.

Heh...for the record, I live farrrrrrrrrrrrrrr from Bay Area...in the great nation of Texas...and, although it would probably be fine, I don't really leave my car running when I run inside anywhere...unless my ferocious puppy is in it to stand guard, or another person is an acceptable substitute. People who can drive standard are a rarity these days - it's a dying art - but I would never risk Bette's safety like that...c'mon now

does anyone in or around the bay area have any updates on this? anyone know if the police has made any progress. i want to know if its to the point where i cant park my car anywhere in oakland without it being stolen. i already dont but itd be good to know if this has gotten any better or worse thanks.
