Probably your best choice, unless you live in a rural area.

Broke in mine hard. WOT 1-3 first time at 175 miles. Launch control first time at 230 miles. Has 1k miles on it now and keeps getting faster. For reference recent dyno day mine put down about 15 rwhp MORE than the other stock cars...I'm guessing they babied theirs.

Breaking today's cars in hard is the best thing you can do for performance and even engine life you have to seal those rings real nice. sounds weird and almost backwards but your engine doesn't want to be babied... it has to breathe.

and I don't mean bouncing off your rev limiter in neutral (don't do that), just nice hard pulls with WOT and load.

My 1LT/RS has about 650 miles on it as of now. Up until earlier this week, I had been taking it easy on the car...only reving it up to 3 - 4K on occasion...and I think once getting near 5K.

Then I read this thread and darin's thread and begin to think maybe I'm not doing myself (or well...my car) any good! At 650 miles I don't know if theres any chance left of improving my car's break in, but I'm trying. Ran it from nearly a dead stop to around 80mph 3 or 4 times today.

Man, inside the cabin she really starts to roar once it gets near redline lol.

I am from the "Drive it like you stole it" camp. I drove it hard from the get-go, I did dino oil changes at 500 and 1250 miles. Then switched it to synthetic at 2500 miles. I now have over 11000 miles and it is running great with instantaneous throttle response. It pulls strong and steady up to 7K RPM. I am getting 25-26.5 mpg with 75% freeway travel. Only mod is mufflers traded for resonators at 2500 miles with the scallops pointed into the airflow. We tried them both ways and it sounded much better that way, by installing them like that it took out 99% of the Honda sound and deepened the tone of the rumble. I also did 1000 miles on premium as an experiment. No change in gas mileage, no change in seat of the ass performance. The only difference I noticed is the exhaust tips sooted up on premium.
