If tastefully done and you don't have Brembos I don't have a problem with them. Who cares about your one sided opinion? I could make a post quit deleting your cats it is illegal in All 50 states but who am I to judge or better yet who the hell are you to judge?

I don't care for them because they are so "fake" looking, but the President of the CCC is having BBQ... I'm conflicted. When a dude in Texas says he's cooking up some meat, that is not something to take lightly at all.
However, there ARE more important things. One example is WHY are restaurants putting the lettuce, tomato etc on the BOTTOM of a burger? This is wrong! Drive me nuts!

At least no cats offer a performance benefit..........

Also, there is no such thing as tastefully doing caliper covers (in my opinion of course). What next, a intercooler (ie, interfooler) not hooked up? A supercharged sticker with no forced induction, a tow hook that's not able to tow, etc?

Furthermore, one sided opinion? LOL, I'm willing to bet 97% of enthusiasts out there would agree. But like I said before, this is my opinion and you can take that for what it's worth (which is nothing in the grand scheme of things). Again, if someone wants to buy caliper covers than by all means do it, it's your money. I'm just hoping I can divert the few that were on the fence and if I convince just one person that means this post was worth it.

Lastly, speaking of judging,

I had them on my Camaro V6. But when I got front wheel big brake kit, I painted them Silver with the G2 Caliper Paint Kit along with the my rear calipers which I kept as single piston. Looks a lot better than the caliper covers. I highly recommend painting your calipers. Silver or Black is not a standout color, but stealth like.

For the people that are on the fence please advise and know that there are always alternatives to ugly stock brakes (black paint, relatively inexpensive wilwoods, etc).

Live and let live I say. Your car, your money, do as you please. Just keep in mind that eBay and Autozone stick-on accessories are laughable, so draw the line at stick-ons.

The OP is just and idiot and a troll, he's just trying to stir up everyone. The is directly from the MGP website. So they don't trap heat like the OP stated and as others have said they help with keeping the brake dust of your wheels.

Do you Caliper Covers trap in brake heat?
We designed the Caliper Covers to dissipate brake heat. Our specially engineered cover divert heat away from your brakes and out through the top of your factory calipers. We hold our production standards to an OEM level to ensure safety of enthusiasts such as yourself.

Do the Caliper Covers reduce brake dust?

Results will vary depending on the brake pads used, but our customers have reported that they noticed less brake dust after installing our Caliper Covers.
