To finance a used 14/15 SS would definitely save you some money, and if you want to keep it, that maybe best. However if you lease a 16, it may be more expensive monthly, but you will have an easier time trading up to any new Camaro. So I guess it all depends on your budget and your wants!

Lived there for 30 years. At first it was great. Then it got too crowded, too expensive, too many crazy people, too many ridiculous laws, too many taxes. Best thing we ever did was move out of there.

I don't know about living in California but I am having a blast just using it for a while.
I trailered my Camaro and Ducati down last fall and left everything in in a storage yard in Palm Springs. I have been flying in any chance I get for a week or so at a time.
So far I have hit all the great roads in SoCal (there are tons).
Going back for another week soon and then in May. I will bring it all home taking 2 weeks stopping at various locations along the Sierra's and Shasta etc.
California has the best roads in North America. Period.

If you plan to live in San Francisco, make sure you know how to spot an Adam's apple.

California is a huge state with lots of different topographical areas (coast, valley, foothills and high mountain areas). Anyone who bashes CA is only looking at it from one perspective. There are lots of positives and negatives, just like anywhere else in the USA, it's what you make of it and how you look at life in general. Just my $.02 from a CA native.

All my friends live with their family now because it's virtually impossible unless you're making like over 100 grand a year? I just read an article about having to make over 160 thousand a year to even get by in San Francisco now (rent wise).

Sooner or later this "bubble" will burst! >

or, you could 'buy' a home.... dont have to worry about those rent increases, and youd be doing something for yourself, instead of making someone else (landlord) rich... just sayin...

Pros and cons. My favorite part of this thread is the people that don't live here commenting as well as the people that do who disagree with others saying that people don't look at it right or to just leave.

Pretty good analogy for California. Sorry I don't agree but the actual non human and non tax parts are amazing.

The human part and the weather are the best things about California.

The value-added part is the beautiful scenery we get to drive through, I mean, this IS a car forum, right?

Ya cali does have rude people but its definitely not just cali. i remember when i was young visiting the mid west an east coast multiple times an how the most noticeable differnece was that it seemed like east coast people were alot more bitter, uptight an just not nice. the west coast had a reputation of being more friendly an laid back.

From Iowa myself, seems like when I go back there to visit, I see more middle fingers, road rage, and trash talkers than ever... Definitely do not miss it.
