(edit)
Thanks for that, I forgot I need 1 more harness because I don't have the last 2 circuits in there. That harness with connector is 15 bucks so add that to the price. It is a 2 wire harness that supplies (switched) power and ground to the heater for the steering wheel.
Is there a 16 pin feed connector on your '11 ?

No that is why I had to order that extra 2 pin harness I am waiting for.
GM 60296271. The clock spring has an the extra wire hanging off it for this connector.

I'm definitely curious to see how this turns out. I'd like to go to a smaller diameter wheel without losing my airbag, wheel functions, or going to the 10-11 wheel. *shudders*

The 2 pin harness is just power and ground for the wheel heater. The closest screw for ground and probably an add a fuse for the power. This connector then just plugs into the clock spring.
Everything I read says no programming the bcm. If you think about it the clock spring is just wires. The only way it would need programmed is if they changed the pinouts of the new spring. Then the bcm would need remapped or the wires would need moved around.

Harness is suppose to come today. Guess I'll find out when I get home!

Assuming the new clockspring looks like this one from a Denali. Front green pigtail attaches to steering wheel heated plug and the 2 pin harness you ordered would be attached to the clockspring back side pigtail after hard wiring its power & ground. As you said BCM shouldn't need reprogramming if all pin outs are the same.

I'm looking at this for my 2012. If all functions work, I would be happier with my steering wheel. Just wondering how the controls for the DIC which are now on the steering wheel would work. I hope they wouldn't just be buttons that don't do anything.

My money is on that they wont do anything as the BCM is still getting the DIC commands from the stalk wiring. Makes you wonder though if the clockspring harness connection pinouts are the same ?

No Part yet, I'll never understand the logic of fedex smart post or whatever its called. They delivered the part to USPS for delivery. So now I can no longer track it efficiently. The waiting continues.....
