Most definately. But, there's no reason we shouldn't ask for more, within reason

I'm not sure. We're looking at paying a premium just for the badge, but let's not forget the cost of that engine and how rare that car is going to be. Price gouging will lead the already high price to become ridiculous, especially with the LS9 in there. Add to that even more advanced suspension components and a unique interior. It will probably cost $80,000 after price gouging if the LS9 is in it. I would guess $60,000 when fully loaded.

GM isn't going to sell a car with an LS9 engine in it for $60k when the ZR1 is $110k. Does this make sense to anyone else? Why would people buy the ZR1 if you can get basically the same performance, slightly less, out of a Z28 with an LS9 and it costs $50k less. If GM did this they are just shooting themselves in the foot.
And no, a Z28 with an LS9 would not be $56-$59k lol, that's just too funny. It would at least be $75k. Doesn't the LS9 have forged titanium components? or something sweet like that? Yeah, lets put that in a Z28 and sell it for less than $60k! Please, I guess it's fun to dream though.

Id most preffer to see the LS7, my reasoning being that while im interested in the Gen 5 motors there's just not enough info out there for me to put my faith in it yet so time will tell there, as far as the LSA and LS9 they're both great choices but as stated in the last update we got regaurding the Z/28 we are definatly looking at a weight reduction package being added, that being said both the LSA and LS9 weigh around 200lbs more than the LS7 (after fluids and all) and not to mention the LS7 Camaro was already released at SEMA so its obviously still a viable option (for all who say the LS7 is dead)...as far as the SC V6 well wasnt that already announced as a performance option between base Camaro and SS?? So i'd leave that in that catagory and out of the Z/28 discussion...a hybrid LSA/LS9 motor would be really nice but again, it would weight lots more and the SEMA LS7 Camaro made 586hp(?) with just a hotcam swap on N/A tuning, id be okay with an LS9 in it but i think it would bring the price up way too high and we cant have that, id rather not see the LSA (for previously stated reasons) also with the reasoning that if it WAS the LSA this would pretty much be a re-badged CTS-V and my other oppinion that, if you're gonna supercharge an LS3 why *****-foot around with the smaller of the two superchargers? lol
So my vote goes to the LS7, i preffer N/A engines, the 427 will always hold a tender spot by me, it'll help weight savings, and is an easily modded engine, also "more horsepower, less weight" was the idea behind the original Z/28s...LS7 all the way |

I voted for the:........... LS9/LSA Hybrid - An LSA with LS9 pistons; maybe LS9 cam; LS9 supercharger; etc.....As long as it has a Supercharger that is my main concern!..............

So the Camaro from the factory with a LS9 should be about... 60ish as you save the price of an LS3...
