SEMA is a show for after-market stuff, though, isn't it? I suppose they put that engine in there to advertise their crate motors.

Problem here is...that power was not gained while still meeting emissions...which they would need to do in a factory-produced car...

Would the LS7 be anymore unique than a LSA? Not to mention the LS3, or LLT....It will be unique in it's presentation and overall package...just not the individual parts.

Not to mention the LS7 is being mothballed.

Yeah, well...that's the check-mate argument...the other reasons are more fun.

Are you talking about oil changes, air filters, and spark plugs? Cause those ain't going to save a bottom end rotating assembly when you snap the throttle on a 1175hp intake charge. I"m not trying to start a pising match, but after market tuning on the HP range your are talking about is for those who can afford to throw away $20k. I guess the question is how you define "throw away" in these circumstances. For most people it would be a risk decision. For me it definately is. I feel that the kind of after market tuning you are talking about is for folks how afford build, play with, and replace $20k out of pocket. I can't, which is exactly why I want a factory SC'ed car. 645HP is more than enough for me. I'll be just fine with the 556hp in the LSA, if they go that route.

Different strokes for different folks. It's all about what each individual person can afford....
