I agree she should be in the back seat. However, the front passenger airbag will pose no danger to her if in the front, as her weight will not allow the airbag to activate. GM was smart enough to put a sensor in the seat to prevent the airbag from deploying in the event a child is sitting in the seat.

Maybe the car was designed so NO ONE sits in the passenger seat. If the complaining continues, they could sit in the back and look out the side window. lol

I'd be willing to buy an entire new seat that was powered (like the drivers side) if GM offered one to fit the passenger side.

hard to imagine why they don't offer it . . .

they sell these cars in England and Australia, right? And in those places they drive on the other side of the road, right? And the driver seat is on the right instead of the left, right?

So, they are already building a right-hand driver seat, and I cannot believe it would not have the height adjustment like the normal left-hand driver seat . . . so all they need to do is make it available; or better yet just offer the parts to convert an existing seat.

Good reasoning, I'll bet that you are right about the oight hand drive cars, My wife delete is only for the Camaro. She complained too much and I will not let her ride in it any more.

We would have to offer two different kits -- as cloth seats do not have heaters -- leathers do.....there IS a difference!
More to come.

True statement, heard him say it personally.

Why take the chance, the 2011 version might fix this and it may be possible to use a validated GM part

I do the driving in my car - but my husband, who is 6'4" has no problem with the passenger seat sitting low. ;-) He hated my Gen4 Camaro b/c his head touched the roof, but this one doesn't have that problem.

Yes, actually it would. Yes you would have a taller seat, but as you won't have crash tested this modification, I'd be careful of telling people it wouldn't be a problem.

There is a lot more work to make this change than just adding spacers and keep the car safe for passengers.

Gosh folks, deleting the wife seems a bit drastic. The '11 is to have the power passenger and if not, simply buy the drivers side pedastal with all the trimings, pull the passenger seat, bolt the new pedastal on, bolt to the floor, plug it in and your set. $650+- for parts from GM-if you can handle the wait on the drivers side pedastal.

Too damn funny.. I'm a 6ft blonde, AND the driver.. My 5'4" daughter only complains for two reasons: I drive too slow and I won't let her drive (learner's permit) - Hell No.

Maybe GM needs a disclaimer: "Must Be 64 Inches for This Ride"

Kidding aside, unfortunately - another huge GM oversight (along with no spare tire).. Lori
