any way to raise the passenger seat?

It is a common complaint of shorter Gen5 passengers (read: wives) that the passenger seat is too low and they can't see over the dashboard

Do I understand correctly that there is no vertical adjustment on the passenger seat, even on the high end models?

Has anyone come up with a solution for this? Maybe some kind of adapter to simply mount the passenger seat a little higher?

thanks in advance

There are many ways you could do this, but all involve making the seat, restraints etc less effective; read not as safe.

My wife is 5'4" and complains she can't see out of the Camaros pass seat. Someone said G.M. may come out with a pass seat adjuster modification due to complaints.
If they don't, I bet someone else will.

There are two options:

#1 - Use shims to raise the seat.

#2 -

Nope and any adapters made severely weakens the stability of the passenger seat making it a lot more likely that the passenger will get hurt or killed in a wreak.

I had actually considered measuring the mounting hardware from my sliverado truck to see if they were comparable, and if so, going junkyard hopping to see if I could get it a few inches higher.. wifey is 5'2" and wasn't a happy camper over there!

Yeah! My wife is under 5 ft.
She loves our SS but hates the fact she can't see out over the dash.
I would love to see some kind of mod to make the seat vertically adjustable.
Don't care if it came from GM (though I think it should) or aftermarket.
Pillows are not an answer, they move around, bunch up, defeat the heated seat option and my wife says its just embarassing to have to use.

they had that problem with early Skys, the dealer I bought from had a machine shop make some 1" spacers to raise the seat up for a lady that was 4'9", maybe you can do that?
