155 is plenty spanking fast for a V6. Put some wings on it and it will fly at that speed.

Nice to hear feedback about the rear suspension. The design kinda reminds me a bit of the C4 vette Dana's but with a coil over and a couple of cheaper to produce components.

Pretty much every review of the V-6 has nothing but good things to say about it. Now let's get to that SS...

Great article. I AM NOW GOING CRAZY. I can't wait to get my SS LS3 manual Camaro. SMOKIN HOT.

Heck my Civic Si will go 135mph. I can see the V6 doing 150mph with no problem.

Most cars have those speeds governed because of the tire rating. They can't exceed the safety envelope for the tires otherwise it's a safety hazard.

i hav no doubt that it could reach 155+...... i jus hope they change the exhaust note.... dont like how they said like it sounded like an import V6, thats what im trying to leave behind with my V6 accord.

I like the euro v6 sound myself. The only other V6 that even sounds close to good is the Ford 4.0's.

That might also be RPM's you heard. As the powerband goes up high with this engine.

That's what my understanding was. I would first think it was because the manufacturer was being a nanny, but I believe you're right. It makes me wonder why some car models have limiters, when others don't. For example, why was there a limiter on the 2.73 LT1 cars? My M6 LT1 with 3.42s didn't have a limiter and went to 140+ easy. One could easily have the same GSCs tires on the 2.73 car. Was it a result of the combination of gearing and tires (i.e. GM though well if a customer wants 2.73s, they aren't as interested in people who want the 3.23s/3.42s, therefore they don't need the GSCs for better grip, SOO... we'll slap some cheaper tires, with lower speed ratings, and put a limiter in it?) Okay, maybe I'm thinking too much about this...

This top speed, even if it gets close, is GREAT, for a "base" car.

You know, with exception of the 3-liter in a 350Z, I don't care much for Japanese car exhaust sounds. I would say V6 Camaro sounds closer to this sound, with more rasp, than any other import, except some European cars. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing if it sounds like that car (IMHO.) I was pretty suprised about the rasp of it though. It wasn't like an LS1 with LTs, no cats', and a Loud Mouth catback raspy, but pretty raspy for an OEM car. Cool
