Yeah, dropped by over two thirds!

I was surprised to see a yearly bill since Texas demands every six but I guess collector/specialty is different.

Now that is nice! I am looking forward to saving money for sure!

Well that was to good to be true. Apparently they require every licensed person in the household to have their own daily driver. Since my wife has a license, but stays at home, no job, no car, and hasn't driven in 10 years due to anxiety, they won't cover me.

Wow that is unheard of! I am surprised they are even allowed to do that. Shop around for another collector car insurance co and see what they can do for you.

So for round figures, if you have an "agreed value" of the car at $20,000, with someone like Grundy, and you do $10,000 worth of damage in an accident, but it's not a total, is that out of pocket?

From what I was told I have a $0 deductible so I am not sure as to out of pocket when it comes to "anything" .

Oh wow! Yeah you did something wrong. What I did was call Grundy and have them do a quote over the phone with me in which they submitted an email with all the details etc...

According to AI, it's covered. It almost sounds too good to be true. (I ended at at $371.00 when I reduced the value of the car from 2,000,000 to 21,000) But that's probably because we've been ripped off our entire lives by the big boys.

Good to know its covered. Yeah the whole insurance industry is a scam regardless if it's health or auto etc.. I used to pay around $500 a year with American Modern with a $25k agreed value with a mileage limitation of 3k a year. They kept jacking up the rates as the years went by. I'm done with them.

Grundy with an agreed value of $25k with $0 deductible at no mileage cap per year sounds good to me for only $351 a year now. Will see what happens a year from now if they jack up the rates as well.

With 300k of liability coverage now and a 50k value of the vehicle Grundy quoted $644/year.

Hagerty quote with 100k liability and 65k value. $2900/year.

My Camaro AND '24 Blazer with my current insurance was $2900 last year.

I pay about $900 a year on the Camaro through USAA. I just felt like I drive it too much for Grundy's liking. So I just ended up staying put. Heaven forbid I should be involved in an accident, "running an errand."

Understandable... however... how will they know how much you drive it and for what purpose? That is what I am trying to figure out as there is no mileage cap. At least on my policy. Going to the gas station is considered an "errand" in order to fill up etc... I will not worry about it unless someone has some nightmare stories to share.. then I will consider taking my insurance business elsewhere.
