I am really looking for a place that sells the big waffle weave towels (24x36) at an inexpensive price.

Wasn't Detail Addict running a special on those? Search the threads, I think he was.

The short nap waterless wash towel. Didn't you see what I posted earlier in this thread?

Junkman, I just want to take a minute to thank you for the valuable and effective advice that you provide to this community. I have learned so much from your videos and by following your posts.

All of your recommendations are backed up by the beauty of your car's paint! And everything I've tried has worked just as you promised.

While I'm sure other products work fine and some may be cheaper, I'm sticking with your recommendations.

My car's paint isn't perfect yet, but it's getting better all the time.

YOU ROCK!

Hey, I have to like a guy who's forum name is the same as my car!

Right now, I'm in the garage replacing my intake manifold. But I keep a computer near me at all times just in case someone has a question. I don't get paid to do this, I love doing it! I know how it was when I was seeking this information. It came in from every direction but a lot of the advice I got sounded like it was just repeated info. I couldn't get the theory behind why a lot of recommended advice was given.

I vow to never be that way. If I recommend something, you can bet I will understand the theory behind what I recommend and I will be able to explain it in a language that anyone can understand. The fact that you can stand back and look at what YOU accomplished is reward enough for me.

Thanks for taking the time to post! And just in case anyone is wondering, yes, I did detail the engine while I was working on it!

Are those cheaper Micropak towels safe for my paint? Will they work for drying?

If they are made in China or sold in auto stores/big bulk stores, they are garbage, period.

As per your PM I have decided what I want to use for my buffing and cleaning. The only thing left I am uncertain of is my drying. You've indicated to me that the drying towel should be cheaper than the buffing towel. I'm just trying to save money on that. I'm hoping some cheap Korean towel is okay.

I think Detail Addict had a special on drying towels here. They are the same ones that Adam's has. Here they are. If you are drying by hand, make sure you use my pooling (flooding, sheeting... it's called different things) method before you actually start drying the car.
