This! My deductible is $100 for this very reason. I pay a little more per month but it may be worth it in the long run.

Stuff like this occurs in SOCAL because of the draconian gun laws......where I live its probably a 50/50 chance that someone within sight is packing heat and you could end up dead pulling a suck ball stunt like scratching someones nice car on purpose.

Did you file a police report? might be useful to have it down the road as you seek compensation.
