According to a video preview I watched -- the exhaust not is noticeable and sweet.

Exhaust note

This is the same process I saw Harley Davidson use this weekend on "American Thunder." They have a harley on a test stand with nine microphones. As the bike is reved up to full throttle, the mic's sequence down the the line to simulate the bike moving down the road. It was really cool.

The majority aren't going to do anything to their car. Its those people who GM is tuning the exhaust for.

So glad they took their time to perfect all the small stuff. After all, Camaro is in the details. Sound for me is actually a huge thing- as far as I'm concerned 55% of the joy of a V8 comes straight out of the tailpipes. I would love to hear a deep, vocal, loping growl comin from my 2SS that ramps into a reckless roar as the RPMs climb... Kinda like the old 60's musclecar sound, but finely tuned. I can't effin wait.

The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione has an untuned exhaust, they should do the same thing to the Camaro. Keep it real!

Maybe thats the problem with GM's overhead, 15 people to make a decision on the exhaust sound?

not really, if its just one person, something they might not hear would make it down the chain into production. this way, you have more opinions/ears making a decision on it.

I'm hoping that my new camaro 2ss is not somehow flawed because its really quiet. Its still in the break-in period so I don't want to rev the engine too high. I traded in my Mustang GT for the Camaro and even its standard exhaust on the mustang sounds better than the big 6.2 liter in my Camaro. What's the deal? Do I need to have some new muffles installed?

The Camaros are known to be fairly quiet from the inside, and the L99's are quieter than the LS3 cars.

I was disapointed with the orginal sound of the car, just too quiet for a muscle car. Had my local muffler shop replace the original mufflers and resonators with Magnaflow mufflers and install and an X pipe. Sounds like a Camaro should sound now!!!!
