ok so how many different reviews on the 2 cars to people have to read to realize that the new mustang is NOT faster than the camaro?

is it because every one is watching the BS video of the red mustang beating the yellow camaro on YouTube? which you can obviously tell the 1st race the diver of the camaro did not get a good start and the 2nd he tookd forever to shift as he let the mustang pass him?

I have not read a review yet that says the mustang is faster in any way...yes what ford did to up th HP almost by 100 is impressive but come on people ist STILL a MUSTANG and its still a piece of crap FORD.

Go with the 2SS if you want a real muscle car

may be true, but the camaro can handle way more horsepower then the new 5.0. ive had numerous mustangs in the past and this is my first chevy camaro and i have to say its been more of a blast to drive. ive owned a supercharged saleen, 2003 cobra, and a roush charged 2007 mustang.

Yes "dude" I am serious. Don't go gettin your panties all in a wad over someone elses observations and questions...Did I say that they couldn't be modded any more ? Or did I state that I wondered how much more they could be modded and still remain reliable.....I realize that as a Stang fan you haven't had much to cheer about in the last few years but don't go gettin all knotted up when I ,a Camaro, owner doesn't ohh and ahh over all the hype about your favorite brand..

Motor Trend is the only one that has the mustang beating the camaro with a riduculous time of 12.7 and others have it at 13.4 so i guess motor trend brought in some super driver that put his foot on the gas as soon as the light turned green and not a mili second later.....yea ok

Guys/Gals chill. The ? was purely about a Camaro only. Give the guy some honest opinions and get off the soapbox! As it's been said ad nausem-eyes of the beholder. I have owned several of each and right now wouldn't give-up my 'Jewel' for anything. Doesn't make me right-just in love. $$$$/Mods will make a Pinto a rocketship-do you want one? For what it's worth I'm headed to the clutch thread,think I may have a problem. Good luck and ENJOY on whatever you decide. Been there and busted All of them-up one way or another.

Haha I am a really good driver not to toot my own horn but the best I could get was a 12.8 in about 64 degree weather and thats without those stupid DA's. Yes obvisouly motortrend has super driver so does car and driver but they didnt have the track pack on the 5.0 like I do.

Heck,lets really get off topic. I can't remember # of trophies and track championships I've won on dirt ovals. What I do remember is the dollars spent by the FEW 'blue oval' guys trying to not get lapped. If mods and performance are important-Chevy is without a doubt the best bang for the buck. Where is that clutch thread?

Buy an SS. The people saying that a 5.0 is a better buy either have a 5.0 or just can't drive their camaros and are a butthurt they got beat by a 5.0.

The 5.0 is impressive, but nothing compares to the looks of the SS. Just too damn sexy. And if you wanted the "faster" car on the street all you'd need to do is get a used GT500 or Z06.

SS. No contest.

did you know its $14,500 to do the hp 550 upgrade from hennessey oh and i have a 1 ss and 2ss/rs and i drive the shit out of the 1ss and keep it clean on the 2ss if your a tall person the 1ss has more headroom but other than that they are basically the same car love them both!
