We always give "the peace sign" to Camaros and wave to the Corvettes. Most of the time it's a wave and back at us.
We only saw 3 gen5's to and from Calgary, Alberta last week, but they all waved. There are 4 gen5's in our area now (90,000 people) ... orange, yellow, silver & us...
Orange & yellow always wave....silver is a poop!

WE LOVE OUR GREEN MACHINE!!

I always do, but half the time others don't. I always wave or give a thumbs-up for any nice street machine.

sometimes people just don't see it. We've been trained to look on the road, and that's what I hope most people do. If you don't get a wave it's not always because they don't want to but probably mainly because they don't see you.

with that being said, if I ever see a camaro I wave or put my hand up and most of the time I don't get responses
TRUE...but we should also be trained to look around at our surroundings...especially the other cars around us and coming toward us...."tunnel" vision is just as dangerous at not paying attention at all...therefore the excuse of "They didn't see you..." actually makes me more nervous than them just being "stuck up" or "too cool for school" so to speak.

To answer the OP...we always wave if we see another Camaro coming toward us, and they usually wave back. A few have not....and we call them "stuck up." LOL!!!

I always think about waving but i usually decide not to. Got waved at by a 3rd gen even the other day. i usually see one yellow 5th gen occasionally on way back and forth to work and that about it. Dont see to many driving on my commute. If i dont wave its bc the other person waits til they get closer so i can see and by then its to late for me to respond

Im making up for it now......

I'm usually paying pretty close attention to the road because the drivers in Chicago are HORIBBLE but when i see one pass by or pass one by, i wave or flash my lights.

Sometimes you get a response back and sometimes you don't. Maybe it'll just take a while for those people to catch on.

I agree with the "especially the other cars around us" but the cars coming toward us??

I can't focus my eyes on cars 15 feet to the left of me (let alone see someone in one of those cars waving) AND be watching the cars around me efficiently. What about the cars to the right of you??? Shouldn't your eyes be on them??

I guess it could work if you were on a one-lane road, but not many of those exist nowadays in urban cities...

Granted...if you are on a multi-lane highway with a median...it would be a freak occurence for an oncoming car to "drift" into your lane. I suppose it is all relative...most of the roads where I live are 4 lane at best, with rarely a median. If I'm not paying attention to those morons coming toward me as well...they could very easily "drift" into my lane, or think it's a turn lane. I am constantly scanning the road in front of me...out to at least 100 yards or so....that allows me to see the cars coming toward me as well as on the side roads approaching an intersection, as well as checking my rearview regularly. If your eyes are focused mainly on the cars immediately around you....you're going to miss a lot!!!! Just MHO!!!

On no, it has finally happened. Today the "wave" turned into a THUMBS UP!

You know what this means, right? The 2010 Camaro is now an older Camaro, and I swear the guy who gave me the thumbs up was also wearing a MEMBERS ONLY JACKET!
