Unless I'm reading incorrectly, we have no evidence that the Mustang owner did anything beyond simply parking his car...I swear, people get worked up over the smallest little things

I would have waited until he went inside and relieved myself on his car.

You did the right thing. Personally I don’t pay attention to people anymore. If I did I would be in jail.

You did the right thing in letting the jealous mustang owner make a fool of himself....

I love how the consensus is that all mustang owners are jealous of camaros. If that were the case, why would someone go out and buy a new mustang instead of a Camaro? It's not like the Camaro is any more expensive, especially the V6. I just don't understand this. I like both Mustangs and Camaros (and Challengers). While I chose a Mustang, I certainly don't assume that every Camaro owner is jealous of my car.
Back on topic, I get annoyed when people park at an angle too but would not have parked close to you like the other guy did.

While I'm walking out, a Mustang GT pulls in forward next to my backed in Camaro on the same angle about a foot away from my car.

I say: You parked a little close Bud.

He says: You don't have a passenger and neither do I. So why don't you just get in the car and go, while standing at the store door! (His pass door is a foot from my pass door and he's into my spot).

I'm standing at the back of my Car, and at this point I'm giving him one of my deep stares, deeep.

He turns away from me and walks into the store.

Give me your thoughts people, I just need to vent. Did I do the right thing?

I then decide, its not worth it, obviously this Mustang owner is jealous of my car and if the cops come they are liable to write me up for no front plate.

WOW, just minding my own business some people are real IDIOTS!
I had to re-read this a few times to determine what upset you enough to actually post on the forum about...

Yes, the guy parked like a moron, but he didn't hit your car, or door ding you, or really say anything inflammatory towards you, so it really isn't one of those situations where any escalation is necessary. You called him out on his inconsiderate parking attempt, he tried to save face, all that was really necessary at that point was to say, "whatever," and get away from him as fast as safely possible.

Yes, people are idiots. There is an overwhelming abundance of them out there. You do what you can to avoid them, but escalating the situation over something this petty really isn't worth your time or blood pressure. Head home and grab a beer

are we really that childish? Why would someone be jealous of a camaro if they have the muscle car of their choice? Let's be real, the camaro does not appeal to everyone, and it is not the end all of muscle car choices... sheesh.... removing lug nuts? breaking off toothpicks to cause slow leaks in tires? Urinating on the side of the offending car? Is that what we are calling adult behavior now?

I wonder what would have happened if instead of saying, "Bud, you parked too close" you would have said, "dude, nice car, thanks for protecting my passenger side, but I gotta run..."

Good luck with that. I'm not psychic but I see a "My car got vandalized!" post in the future.

LOL!!!

I had something happen to me and the car I was driving yesterday (it wasn't mine).

I was in my fiancee's car and I was parked on the side of a street. Three guys were standing and talking about 15-20 ft. from my car. They had a soccor ball and they started to kick it around.

Well, as luck would have it, they kicked the ball into my car. I was sitting in the car talking on the phone and after the ball made contact I looked up at the guys who did it and kind of looked like "wtf?"

They of course did not apologize and one of them started to dog me for looking at them -- I looked kind of pissed off, but nothing crazy.

So, I figured no biggy, just some rude guys, and then it happened again. I got out of the car and told them to be more careful and watch what they're doing. They immediately responded with an excuse: "the ball is soft, it won't hurt your car."

I told them (I was angry at this point) to have accountability and to apologize rather than making excuses and to get away from my car.

In the end, they got the point. Realistically, I wanted to kick the soccor ball down the street and if it happened again, I would have kicked something. But it was just an example of people that weren't raised to respect others. There's lot of them out there.

You did the right thing, just walk away - not worth it whatsoever. It's always better being the 'bigger" person.

That's for sure. People need jacked up these days. I think it's the only way they will ever learn to respect others.
